That's a pretty cool trick. I hope somebody is planning to do this! Seems like it would be worth getting those weapons first if you can abuse this everywhere like that.

OH, MY! This kind of makes me want to do the TAS. I have the intro stage almost done and I have some experience with this game, so I could do it.

Forte or Mega Man? I've already said it enough, but I'd rather see the Forte run improved. Though a Mega Man run by the looks of it seems like it will be as entertaining.

I've actually started a TAS with both of them. Mega Man is stuck in... 3rd stage (dont remember name of the robot master). I was talking about Forte run, obviously. Although it's so much pain because the dash is retarded.

http://parrot14green.myweb.hinet.net/Rockman&Forte-RockLightingTrick6.smv Forte can use the trick in Tengu stage, but Rockman can't.

I think I'm going to give a try to improve vsmk3 Rockman 100% CDs run... I'm quite familiar with the gameplay of this game for having spent long hours on it... I'm only giving it a try... I do not intend to "steal" anyone's job so if someone has something to say... Parrot14green's new tricks make the will to try it really strong... and they are really nice...

It's not hard to improve my run. I am not very careful in some details. And I am not well understand something when I making this.(like frame advance, manipulates luck, hex edit,etc...) I am also not planned this run very well, just depend on the experence in normal gameplaying,so maybe there have some better way or new route to get CDs. This run may very hard to plan and perform it. Good luck. Although I am little hope this run can keeping no damage and no death... But I couldn't ask anyone to do that.

Well, taking no damage seems near impossible if I aim for fastest time... I'm currently 3 frames faster than you in the intro level, but I have a problem with a mole enemy corridor... I do not seem to have a good configuration and i keep getting hit... i have to find a way around that... And I'm also wondering whose run was it in Morfos' post... I did notplan anything yet for now, I'm currently experiencing the game with the first level... I'll post my progress here... if you're available vsmk3, I may need you help as well as Parrot14green's one for his newly discovered glitches...

At least it seems taking damage in intro stage wouldn't save any time. Yesterday I have do some test,I finished the intro stage and 21 frames faster than Bablo's WIP(50 frames faster than mine),without getting hit.

Although I finished intro stage but I don't plan making a TAS again. I'm really hate taking damage and die to save time,so I wouldn't do that. Here's my WIP with intro stage done. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3303/Rockman%20%26%20Forte%20%28J%29%20%5B%21%5D.smv Still improvable, but I hope it may some helps. If I have time maybe I will finished it someday, but maybe I wouldn't change route and using those new glitches. It's little hard to get enough bolts when finished 6 stages if skipped some scence. I don't have too much time to consider that and find where those bugs could be used and make sure change route will faster. And even I finished it,Iwouldn't submit it,do that just for myself.

Good job, parrot14green. I found a zipping glitch in Cold Man's stage that appears to bypass the miniboss, but you lose control of your character permanently.

Is it worth getting bolts as Forte to buy the thing Gigafrost bought? I mean, you won't have much time to kill any enemies while being busy zipping through walls.

I thought it's worth getting the item after beating 8 robot masters. I guess the weapon was enough to use In 8 robot masters, and not everywhere adaptable zipping through walls. It is not hard to get 200 bolts in 8 stages.

I will be eagerly awaiting the TAS. This is one of the better games I feel. I'm assuming this one came after Megaman 7, right? I'll have to play this. ^^

The good thing about this glitch is, that you can still follow progress (unlike Megaman I). I'd like to see this completed very badly!

I think Rockman&Forte came out before Mega Man 7. Anyways, I'm working on Forte version right now, and making some really good progress. Intro stage is 135 frames faster compared to Gigafrost's TAS. Half of Astro Man stage done. Don't except too much though. I tend to lose the motivation somewhere.

Further proof! MM7s release date: September, 1995 R&Fs release date: April 24th, 1998 Also, Rock has basically the same sprite as he did in MM8. If that's not proof enough, I dunno what is. *pewf!*

Parrot14green you're a hero... It should be easy to make a stunning run with all those glitches and I guess AngerFist is right, you're the best one to work on a run for this game... Though, I'll still try to improve vsmk3's run... I've only finished the first level (intro) so far though, I need to plan my route well to be able to use the glitches and to collect the CDs as fast as possible... I guess Coldman should ne the first boss as his weapon is the most useful... the problem after that is that to use the glitches with Rockman it requires (most of the time) Lightning Bolt & Tengu Blade... Getting those two weapons means that I have to defeat Coldman, Groundman, Astroman, Dynamoman and Tenguman (at least) and I have to get Rush search to get the CDs as fast as possible... So If someone could help me with the planning... it would be appreciated...

Astro Man done. The first room with buttons is improvable by ~6 frames, which I noticed much later, but I'll try to hex-edit it. Although it might ruin the luck manipulation, and it was a pain in the ass to manipulate the next button-room.
