I see why, it's very effective against enemies.. But dosen't it slow down your run a bit?

It can, but then if you're fighting something that has a whole lot of health but no invincibility, it will kill it really fast...especially when while the wall is forming, you auto-fire the rock buster. There's another reason I like the Ice wall so much: It's a platform.

hmm you can also buy upgrades.... perhaps those would help aswell? though I'm not sure since you need to collect bolts and you have to go trough the whole shop thing....

I don't plan on buying any upgrades. I don't think it's worth it. In the gateway to King, I don't have to pick up the giant bolts that appear do I? If not, it further shoots down the possibility of buying upgrades.

I dunno, there are several upgrades that I think woul be worth buying when possible. Things that add speed/power with the buster upgrades, like the quick charge. Forte also has movement speed enhancers for dashes and ladder climbing. These could speed up your game quite a bit.
I like my "thank you"s in monetary form.

I don't think I'll be done with this time attack as fast as I thought I'd be. It has been taking me way more time to get through Burner Man's level than I originally thought(real time, not game time), and I don't think Pirate Man's level is going to be any simpler. As far as upgrades go, the quick charge would not be worth it. Any normal enemy can be killed very quickly without charging, and the bosses have an invincibility period of around 120 frames...the same amount of frames it takes to charge the buster normally. The auto charge wouldn't be useful either. The E.TRANSFER(damage you take will turn into weapon energy) might have it's uses, but I usually avoid taking damage unless it's faster, so it wouldn't help too much. Out of all the upgrades Rockman can get, the only one I would consider would be the Generator(weapons require less energy to fire). Once I get to King's levels, I'll probably split off and make 2 seperate movies: one with Generator, one without. See which one ends up faster. No doubt, I'll do the one without it first, although if I find that I'm not lacking in energy at all, I'll probably not make the movie with the generator. EDIT: I've finally finished with Burner Man's level. Ice Wall was used a whole lot. However, I was not able to manipulate luck in my favor. As far as I can tell, item drops from enemies are based purely on time, and it takes way too much time to change from one item to another as far as I could tell. On the bright side, the level has tons of weapon-refilling items around, and I grabbed the most convenient one. And the movie makes Burner Man look really easy.

I've decided to instead make the movie with the E.TRANSFER first, rather than going without it. I had no idea of the amount of power the Remote Mine has, and I don't want to find myself lacking in ammo. Also, assuming I have enough bolts by then, the split-off will most likely be after the 6th robot master(Magic Man), rather than before the gateway to King.

Since the time attack is taking a lot longer to make than I thought it would, I'm going to show y'all what I have so far. The current video ends as I'm teleporting into Tengu Man's level. http://www.kraftfam.org/~dtk/Rockman.zip During the Ground Man fight, you'll notice that the first time he dives into the ground, I attach a remote mine to the ground and detonate just a few frames too late to knock him out of the ground. This was intentional to control him.

There was a post about it in the Megaman 7 topic a little over a week ago. Be patient, these things take time.

It's not me making it. It's Gigafrost. Don't worry about it, he's almost done with version 1. And yes, there will probably be a version 2.

Specifically, I'm working on the battle against Wily. And, yes, I'll be working on a version 2 afterwards, but I expect it to take a LOT longer to finish than version 1... In any case, Megafrost, your run continues to look really great. Keep up the good work! :)

I've discovered a little warping "glitch" that can be used with the ice wall. If it appears solid on top of you and you're not high enough that it'll warp you up so you're standing on it, it'll warp you to the right instead. With this in mind, I'm gonna have to re-do Pirate Man's level(and as a consequence, redo Ground Man's as well). Burner Man's level is un-affected, since I don't have any ammo to spare.

While I do move right fast as hell, it only lasts 1 or 2 frames. EDIT: Someone suggested the idea to me of trying to use the ice wall to warp into a wall. I did a very small amount of testing on it. As far as I can tell, it will either warp you left away from the wall, or the ice wall itself will start moving left. I don't want to spend endless amounts of time testing to see if it's possible to warp into the wall, but should someone else confirm that it's possible and an explanation on how to use it, then I will try using it.
