*Cry me a river of joy* MY GOD Can you feel it? Can you feel the juice running through your balls? I need air.. It gives me huge pleasure to announce that Warner has decided to give us avid Thundercats fans a live freaking action feature (according to Variety and imdb.com). The script is written by some guy named Paul Sopocy. Source (note, there are plenty of sources reporting this): http://theendsa.blogspot.com/2007/06/thundercats-are-coming.html
My cast suggestion:
Lion-O - Hugh Jackman.
Jaga - Ian McKellen.
Panthro - Vin Diesel.
Snart - CGI?? If not, then who the hell will play this silly character? :)
Cheetara - Kristanna Loken (I would give anything to lick her toe.. she is too hot, seriously.)
Meanwhile, if Im not mistaken, the same company (Warner) is negotiating with Joel Silver (the guy who did Matrix!) to work on Masters Of the Universe .aka MOTU .aka a live action He-Man movie. It seems like a few major MOTU websites are confirming that Joel Silver and Warner will most definitely reach an agreement O_o :) :D ^_^ According to Warner, this movie will be a bit like Lord of the Rings movie. Sweeeeeet!
My cast suggestion:
He-Man - Christian Bale. Definitely a strong choice.

Not talking about the movie. Someone recently bought the rights to continue the cartoon series, and their announced plans for it are an abomination. We talked about it a few months ago, but I'll jog your memory:
New series takes place in modern Los Angeles.
Thundercats are a Rock Band during the day, fight Mumra when not "rocking out."
Every member of the Thundercats now has a unique Eye of Thundara.
Snarf is turned from the bumbling coward he was to a spiritual warrior/guru for the Thundercats, and he may also become the new leader (though Liono would still be prince, duh).
Mumra and his forces all have new abilities. For example, Mumra now has wings when he isn't in his fragile form.
Some new species/mutation of the Robears will be allied with the new Thundercats.
All of this will be done using the animation styles of Teen Titans (read: cheap mock-anime with terrible shading and lots of excessive expression).
While none of that has been officially announced, but the concept was leaked about 6-12 months ago. Apparently, based on the awesome sales of the overpriced Thundercats series DVDs, a company (I'm only guessing Fox because they seem to love pumping out shitty cartoons as of late) made the move to attain the cartoon rights and start marketing for a hip new generation.
Needless to say, Thundercats are officially dead in my mind. I'd rather let the beauty of the original series rest in the back of my memories instead of having their rotting corpse raped with the dual combination of a terribly conceived cartoon and a Thundercats movie-turned furry flick. RIP TC 4eva.

didn't they already make a dumb "Thundercats" movie? It was thunder something I'm sure. He-man? Are you serious? Honestly, who cares? He-man is way old. Also, the first movie was enough. I don't think I ever want to see a naked man dance around with a sword again.

I know you are but what am I?
No.
Most definitely.
A lot of people. And a lot of people dont.
At its time yes. But now you see with the current technology, you can achieve great things. Skies the limit thanks to CGI.
No dancing, and nudity involved.
Also, Joel Silver stated in a brief interview that the future Masters of The Universe movie will be pretty similar to Lord of The Rings. Meaning, you can expect fantastic environment and whatnot which is a very important feature in a Masters of The Universe movie. Lets dismiss it after when its done, provided it will be bad. I remember when they announced for the first time that Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg would make Transformers the movie. As time went by, I witnessed a lot of crybaby fanboys whining that the movie will not live up to the expectations. Nowadays, everytime when I go to the movies and when the Transformers trailer shows up, people immediately start mumbling how they are very excited and cannot wait for the world premier of the movie.

I am very sorry, I can not resist doing this.
I honestly don't know how to answer that.

Ok. There was a thunder-something movie, though.

All the CGI in the world can't fix a dumb premise.

Boy, this could sure be mis-interpreted.

No way, it's much more fun to dismiss a movie if you haven't seen it. What if the movie turns out to be good? Nevermind that, what if it turns out to be awesome?

Yes and I do hope you know I was kidding with that whole dumb post. :) Yes, had heard something about Terminator 4, but nothing can beat the extreme coolness of T2.
