I figured since it is a different game it deserves it's own topic. http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/game.asp Very fun, very challenging... - discuss

Yep, way better than Xenotactic. I beat normal after a few tries but haven't had a chance to try the hard one yet. Anyone here beat it?

I was just barely able to survive normal mode with like 2 lives left. Hard mode is really hard, I haven't gotten very far in that.

I beat normal with no leaks - My strategy is to build 2 lines of cheap towers that connect the 2 lines of creeps, then build a spiral circling a few super-upgraded towers. EDIT: I tried Hard mode with this strat, and it works fairly well, but it's leakier than Karl Rove when it comes to fliers. I'll see if I can have an AA in the middle.

Yeah, it's the fliers that always get you in the end. Even the anti-air towers can't seem to get them all.

I also find the fliers to leak, but the spiral works good.

I lose at level 42 on hard. We're missing something (I don't do juggling).

I found an interesting video of a solution to the Survivor challenge, featuring Snap towers as the main weapon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNqNYWhMOw4 Cool strategy + cool music = cool video.

Hey I beat hard yesterday but I had to do some juggling. Is hard possible without juggling?
g,o,p,i=1e4,a[10001];main(x){for(;p?g=g/x*p+a[p]*i+2*!o: 53^(printf("%.4d",o+g/i),p=i,o=g%i);a[p--]=g%x)x=p*2-1;}

It was, in an older version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfjY8kNqe6M Don't know if it still is possible, but there is no video evidence on youtube.

Jesus fucking CHRIST that music is horrible. Anyone know what band it is? Or are they two different bands? The second song was a bit more tolerable. The video is great, though.

I don't know why you care about the band if you consider the music horrible, but the first is Linkin Park - Papercut. The second one is someone else I don't know.

The second one is "New Design" from Thousand Foot Krutch Towers are much more efficient, when the way from one entrance is longer, so the two waves pass the towers at different times. This might be obvious and well known to most of You, but I still see videos and pictures of people who don't use this to their advantage, so I thought I mentioned it here. (I still suck at this game)

Depends on what towers you are using to defend. If you use towers which only damage 1 enemy, then this is true (these towers will also hit enemies in the air). If you use towers which damage enemies at a certain spot (these will only hit ground enemies), then it's better to have lots of creeps at the same spot.

I just scored 3rd on the group list, I would have had no leaks easy, but on wave 50, I started selling everything thinking my towers would be enough... I was wrong, but it wouldn't have mattered in the ranking part. I don't juggle by the way.

Heres a little bot demo. I made: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-4Dh2_tYpc beats the first 6 waves pretty fast, and starts you with a nice setup. (until I work on it again)

I noticed that the bot used the cursor to change tower type and to upgrade. Would it be possible to have it use the corresponding keys instead?

Yes, but I found clicking to be more bullet proof.

How can it be more bullet proof, just make the bot press 5 times the button to be sure that it's selected.

It is. Here's a video proof (not made by me): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dB9H9QnC0Y On a sidenote, I've recorded a video demonstrating that Easy mode is too easy. I beat it with 2 towers and don't lost any life. I guess everyone of you guys already know that it can be done, but I figured I would record it anyway since I didn't find any similar video on youtube. probably the same as any other pc speedrun, through camtasia or fraps. check the faqs over speeddemoarchives.
