Hmm. Only improvement i can see is that you didn't took the shorcuts while searching for Courage (Mogu) on the dream world. Sadly i haven't played this game in a long time, so i can't remember exactly where are those. But i can remember that some of those bones can be traspassable, try to experiment with them when you do the real run.

Near the end of the latest WIP, I was surprised Fire dragon wouldn't be faster than bolt against the Flower boss. I also noticed you didn't death warp while in Mogu's dream world, I think it would've been a lot faster than walking back through the skull path.

according to a walkthrough I'm using, the flower was DARK elemental, and the gold dragon seems to be instant death.

forgot about this one :p

I also forgot to ask, Wouldn't be better to make Nina learn Warp more soon? You could make her dodge some attacks in the beginning, she have good AGI iirc.

Also, would be better to buy some Mrbl3? Or you will just avoid all kind of battles? I'm asking because you had a high amount of battles on the skill path looking for Mogu.

Gold Dragon only works on Zombie enemies.

Actually she's slow due to the Dress she stars with, which has 25 weight. Dodging is independent of Agl in this game anyway. Learning Warp by, say, Krypt is possible, but it will involve a lot of dying on the behalf of Bo and Ryu. It might even be worth fighting some G.Slimes, since it's probably quicker to battle them than to walk all the way back.

I will definitely use marble 3 in the world of dreams. I read somewhere that mote can be defeated using marble 1. really? http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/505891167/Breath%20of%20Fire%20%28U%29.smv time and space is finally restored

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/4124815/Breath%20of%20Fire%20%28U%29.smv i'm about to storm the last dungeon; it's my last wip before the end. Even with the improvments I will make, it's likely to be longer than BOF 2!

http://rapidshare.com/files/329996123/Breath_of_Fire__U_.smv.html this is it! As of now, it is longer than BOF 2. However, with the following improvments, it should be shorter - avoid random battle everywhere - use marble 3 inside mogu's dream - espace de wizard's fight with WIndians AND have the right soldier die so the fight lasts one turn - get boomerangs. They should make things faster against stacks of bosses - use the money glitch. If I understand well, I need to trade an expensive item in a shop that sells nothing more expensive (with no money in reserve). The only place I can think of is Auria; I will equip G Tiara to Nina - Keep Nina alive a little more so she can get warp an renew quicker (dead people can cast magic outside of battle) - Keep the count on how many acorns and cures I need; it should be easy with the money glitch - Other suggestions people bring Now, I'm on my way to beat my time in PS4

I just finished watching the previous one too. x_x Quick question though. Why didn't you use the D.Hrt against Zog or Sara? For Zog it only deals a bit of damage but for Sara it puts her HP to 1. Would of made the battle much faster honestly. Oh and I think you bought too many Worms before going for the Tonic items but then again, I've only seen up to Mogu learning how to do that drill ability. Guess I'll watch the rest now.

I also think that using Marble1 against Mote. Since at least with it you are going to do more damage, and i imagine how painfull would be to manipulate each one of them critical.

it was only a test. I think I will use it against sara; her attacks are more bearable (Ryu is a defense powerhouse)

better safe than sorry for a test run :p

but would it kill him BEFORE his conscience comes?

I'm not sure, but i don't think so. Also had considered getting Puka? (Or whatever the name is, it's the last fusion for Karn). If you make him do the rolling attack, he will deal 999 damage (not sure since your team isn't properly trained).

There's a lot of stuff in this thread, if you haven't seen it already.

In short, improvements to keep in mind for the real run: -Set Ryu's name to blank -Close to zero random encounters -Get more drops off bosses (There are a LOT of Life/Cure/F.Stn drops you could be getting) -Run from the wizard on first encounter instead of autobattling 9 times -Optimize Nina's obtaining Warp/Renew -Money glitch, making the two G.Bars unnecessary (and letting you deathwarp to Auria instead of walking through the cave the second time after Karn?) -Deathwarp in Mogu's dream world -D.Hrt vs Sara Also possibly more equipment to get - there's lots of weapons that do magic when used, not sure if any of them are super useful or not (although I'd bet one or two would be nice when trying to level Nina). Anyway, good luck.

According to the thread, the infinite money glitch doesn't work on the SNES version; instead, they suggest saving up money early in the game to avoid needing to do the fairy quest later on.

In that case, I'd hope there are enough 'close by' treasure chests with items worth selling that make the fairy quest unnecessary.

There are two M.Drops in Karma that can be picked up in about 50 seconds. They sell for a total of 13000G if you go to the same shop that sells the G.Bar in Auria (shops that inflate their prices will give you more money back when you sell, and the prices here are really inflated). There are also four fairly convenient Cures before you get to Auria, which will get you a total of 5200G. They can be found in the Nanai dungeon, in the cave between Winlan and Romero, in the west Karma tower, and in one of the Romero elder's chests. With that much extra money, the fairy sidequest should be skippable.
