Gogo is a boss in FFV. That's pretty much it.

Gogo's backstory is in FF5. SPOILERS FOR 1ST WORLD In Walse Tower, you find that a soldier who came from the meteor was trying to prevent the crystal from shattering. He (apparently) dies and the crystal shatters. You collect all the shards except one - then the tower sinks into the ocean, so you flee. SPOILERS FOR 3RD WORLD When you return to the Walse Tower, you find an oddly-clothed person (Gogo) there, whom if you defeat in combat, will give you the missing shard of the water crystal. THEREFORE The soldier from Bal is Gogo.

Do someone knows if Snes9x has an advance frame key ? Actualy, it takes me about 15 minutes per battle. 90% of this this is used to create a preemtive attack. There is about 17% chance for a battle to be premptive (a preemptive battle means that I can attack as soon as the battle start.) . To have a preemptive attack, I use the following sequence : Shift + four times, load state, savestate, shift - four times, if the battle isn't premptive start again. An advance frame feature would shorten the sequence to Pause, loadstate, advance, savestate, and start again. Current progress : Mt Kolts with 26 minutes in game time. I made the detour to get Running shoes in South Figaro but I didn't buy anything except sprint shoes. If I can't beat Vargas, I will have to redo South Figaro and buy some armor. It's only a test run. I estimate around 30 seconds of errors so far (mostly bad menu management) Some upcomming questions : -Wich is the most optimal order to rake the scenarios ? -Locke's scenario gives lot of money but if I do it too early, Celes level's will be too low. -Sabin's scenario has shops at the end, but I need money to buy stuff. -Do I get Shadow for in Sabin's scenario ? Having him would shorten the battles but divide the experience

It's the pipe/backslash key. Gee, someone should really code that hotkey remapping feature. >_<

Another thing to note; Lone Wolf, the pickpocket, was also originally in FF5--the only thing you could do there was let him out of jail, whereby he would run off, never to be seen again...until FF6, where he was in Figaro's jail, for a time. It made me smile to see the reference, once I played FF5 and understood the context. I also heard that the ruined castle underneath Figaro in the WoR is supposed to be Baron--any thoughts? Speaking of which, I think the first appearance of the Tonberry Cloud, creatively known here as the "Pug", was in FF6...

If you free Lone Wolf (in either game) he takes the best items from chests in later dungeons. I don't think 6 is connected in that way (the only reused world I know of is 4's moon = 5's 2nd world). Though Odin inhabits a castle ever since his first appearance in 3.

I will post the movie : -If I finish the test version -or if I don't feel like doing it anymore -or if someone want to start a new one.

If/when these videos get released to the public, and if both versions are being worked on, don't you guys think there should be both a sketch-glitch and non-sketch glitch version? The glitch affects the game so extraordinarily that playing regularly might be more fair to some people. I am, however, all for randomness abuse in both versions.

Either way would be most exciting to watch. I have played the game alot on hardware, and I have played around alot with it as well. I allways enjoy movies that show secrets, glitches etc that wasn't known to me before. I would pretty much like to see Jyzero work like a slave in chains for this run. :D I very much like to see it done.

No. I'd prefer seeing only a non-sketch glitch run. The sketch glitch gives you lots of items and stuff, but it's a massive buffer overflow, and the impact of which can be far-reaching and hard to predict. Furthermore, can the game be stabilized post-sketch glitch, without saving and resetting? My experience with the glitch, although limited, seems to be "No", that if you continue playing after sketching (without saving and resetting) the game will eventually crash or lead you to a location that cannot be exited. A movie that demonstrates various effects of the glitch might be nice, but seeing a full FF3 run with the glitch would not.

The cause of the sketch glitch has been discovered and disassembled. It's not as entirely random as everyone thought it was, as you can consistently cause the same results to happen under certain conditions.

I agree there should be both a sketch glitch run a non-sketch skitch run. The game is trivial after the glitch. You do insane amount of damage without getting hit. Anyway, both movies would be the same for the first 2 or 3 hours. So if I ever finish the glitch movie, someone could just resume his own non glitch run before getting Relm.

Well, if that's the intended case, I hope you make a backup of the movie file at that point. Otherwise the rerecord count would be highly skewed.

I prefer the glitch run. If done correctly, the game is not supposed to crash. Well if you do the right moves, the game is supposed to be stable. Anyway, I think Jyzero can do that without any problem with the help of that algorithms FAQ. Since I am an "old FF6(3 US) player" (I've played that game the last time about 5-6 years ago), I thought evade was good but this game is so glitchy that evade stats are integrated in MBlock stats. I am deceived by such bad programming. Now I understand why Beads aren't effective like it is supposed to be. To see those stupid glitches is the main reason why I want to see a timeattack of this game. Otherwise, it sucks.

FF1 has some stat-dummying glitches/programming errors as well. It's like Square just puts charatcer stats in the FF games for show and programs them randomly, or something...=P

I remember pulling off a glitch that brought general Leo back from the dead. How ever he disappeared in the next battle. I think it was Strago that got changed to Leo. And Leo was pretty powerful at that point. This was in the cave you can enter when travelingwith Figaro. Then, after a while the game crashed. But it was pretty kewl. Is this a known glitch that can be re-done easily? Would very much like to see it again.

It's merely one of many possibilities of the Sketch Glitch.

I'm not really sure that I used the sketch glitch to get that bug. Sure. It might be possible to get that bug with the sketch glitch. But I don't think I had Realm in my team at that point. Is there any other known way to pull it off?

Here's a massive, probably nearly comprehensive list of glitches/bugs, including technical explanations for many of them, I just found last night... http://masterzed.cavesofnarshe.com/GameDocs/ff3bug.txt Also, here's stuff by the same author specific to the sketch glitch: http://masterzed.cavesofnarshe.com/GameDocs/ff3sktch.txt

Just read the ff3bug.txt file. Damn there's alot of bugs. Most of them worthless though. And I don't even know why people sit and track all these down. Since it really can't been just stumbled uppon doing those crazy stuff that guide mentions. :D How ever I really do like the "Cyan goes berserk" bug. Think that should be exploited in the run. Atleast at the last fight. Could speed up the game alot since Cyan won't stop hitting. How ever I don't really know how long it takes to grab him though.
