They did fail their goal, right? I didn't watch the end, but I would've thought their blog would be more enthusiastic at the end if they did get it.

Well, they said their copy of Majora's Mask kept freezing, so I don't blame them TOO much. That would be frustrating.

Considering most people took 30+ hours to beat Twilight Princess on their first playthrough, and none of these people had played it before, why did they even bother holding off on it?

Should have practiced more and had places set out for people to do. Like one person is assigned to do the forest and fire temple of OOT, and another does water and shadow. This would allow everyone to practice only that one place so they could get it down as fast as they could.

It would be an interesting challenge for me to, say, complete all 4 GB(A) Zelda games within some time period, probably (speedrun time) * 1.5 or so (I'm not a speedrunner) Of course, actually recording it would be another matter...

Nix the time limit and just create a series marathon challenge.

Ya id say get rid of time the limit and just play the games as fast as you can then see how long it took.

I'm guessing they played it on the Gamecube/Wii then (I remember having the same freezing problem). You'd think Nintendo, having made the two consoles, would be able to get some sort of accurate emulation going..

They were all being played on the Wii. If I remember correctly, OoT was was the Gamecube version, and MM was VC. That was my assumption, based on the 'ROM' comment.

Hence the winky face at the end, meant to denote that the phrase was not meant to be taken seriously.
