San Francisco Rush doesn't feature flying cars, but it does let you make some pretty ludicrous jumps.

No. We do not distribute ROMs here or tell you how to obtain them. You'll have to figure that out for yourself.

That game's AI cheated like crazy. I once passed a car, only to see it blow by me at around double the max speed; it was going so fast the tires were smoking. The developers did NOT want you getting a free game.

I remember playing a game on my mother's Macintosh. You played as a bumble bee flying over a honeycomb in top-down perspective, and firing stingers behind you, at wasps, ants, scarabs and so on. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? EDIT: The game's title was an alliteration if I remember correctly, something like Bumble Bee Brawl.

Extra info on that Contra clone: Apparently you could temporarily man certain vehicles and turrets.

Are you maybe thinking about Gun Force? A really terrible game, by the way, but I'm pretty sure you could control vehicles at some point.

That's the one! Thank you! ...Wait, terrible? I don't think so, Tim. Try playing the arcade version. So, now it's just that space shooter...

I might as well try my luck. I remember my mom's boyfriend renting this game for the Sega Genesis when I was in 4th grade, (I'm currently 24 now, so about 14 years ago.) It was a platformer, I remember it being 4 different characters you could play and I remember them being color coded (Yellow, Red(?), Blue(?), and Green(?)) I also remember the boss of the Yellow character's stage was a robot of some sort that had a satellite dish(?) on it's head, when you broke the dish it started shooting big honking lasers that took up most of the screen.

Hello. I am searching for the name of a game released on the nes. The game was very easy in the U version so when the game was released in Europe, they cut the energy meter in half. So the game was in-winnable for the european version (The final boss had some indogable attacks).

It would help if you could describe the game a bit : type (platform, rpg, etc.), year, characters (girl, boy, color, etc.), enemies, levels, gameplay, you name it.

Things that I can remenber about this game : - Type : Plateform - Console : NES In fact this game remains in my memory because it was playable and finishable with the NTSC version (the energy meter was six) so the european editor decides that was way too easy and cut the energy metter in half but he forget to test the game. The final boss has un-dodgable attacks and can't be beaten. So this game can't be finished in the european version due to the european editor stupid mistake.

All you remember is the life bar? You should remember if it was a platformer, or space shooter or RPG.

QUOI? (WHAT?) (A system admin is not a homeless person!) The correct translation of the English part is (French incoming): "Tout de ce que tu te souviens est la barre de vie? Tu dois te souvenir si c'était un jeu de plate-forme ou de type shoot them up ou un jeu de rôle."

Then I'll nitpick and add that the correct french should have been "tout ce dont tu te souviens". finalserafin, very few people play the same game in NTSC & PAL because it was tied to your region. You should really try to give as many details as possible, or else your luck won't raise.

The console ports of Rush 2049 (at least the N64 one) let you deploy "stunt wings" to do flips and rolls while in the air. On that note, I have my own request for a mystery game: Arcade game with graphics comparable to Centipede or the like (8 colors, black background, that kind of thing). It was a sidescrolling flying shooter, with one player as the pilot and the other as the underside turret gunner. There was also, to my memory, a top-down view of the "overworld" which may have let you fly to other planets. That's the extent of my knowledge.

This is technically the wrong thread for this, since I know the name of the game, but does anyone remember S.P.A.M.? This was a text adventure engine that came out for the Mac in the '90s. I remember downloading games for it from AOL. S.P.A.M. stood for Single Player Adventure game for Macintosh. It was pretty lame but I was into it a lot, and I'm curious if it was just a figment of my imagination or if other people remember it. Google does not in fact remember it, at least with the search terms I've used.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a game. Things i know about it: -soccer(football) -SNES, 95% sure (played along ISSD) -i remember a piece of music (which is kinda hard to describe:) ) -you could easily score a goal by blocking the goalkeeper while goal kick -when you scored a goal you could press the buttons for "it's a goal" or some horn sound, used to do it like crazy back then :D -when you injured someone, an ambulance car came (on a display) -isotropic view It is very similar to FIFA International Soccer, but not that one. Any help is appreciated. Thank you. Really. Peter

You might want to take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_association_football_video_games#Super_Nintendo_Entertainment_System The game you're looking for might be in that list.

Thanks for the tip, I checked all of them, no luck. Fifa Soccer 96 looks very familiar, needs all the "requirements" I stated, except the music in my head. Maybe I remember wrong and the music comes from another game. It was quite long ago. EDIT: It has the music too... I can finally rest :D Thank you again, good luck with your ongoing project!

I've found most of them I am looking for - games like Vector Mind for DOS that were not very common yet I enjoyed thoroughly and spent lots of hours playing. How about this one: I played it on my Mac Plus, it required two floppies. It was a side scrolling space shooter and the player ship was white. I think the name started with an S but I haven't been able to find any working copies to either play or any screenshots to compare.

@True, that sounds familiar but I can't think of it either. Have you tried looking at http://www.d4.dion.ne.jp/~motohiko/game.htm

alden, no, I didn't know that site existed. I thought it was Sky Shadow based on the description from another site but it had no screenshots. With the animated gif on the site, I am pretty sure that is it. Thanks, now I have (at least the names of) all the apps and games from my childhood :) There's only one thing I am missing, which is a music file for an audio app I can't recall the name of but I have written down - MusicMaker? It was the first commercial Mac software made by the precusor of Macromedia), but it didn't seem to come with any of the versions released so it is likely gone forever...

True: I remember something similar as well, it played on my old mac, and I can almost guarantee it was sky shadow. I believe it came bundled in a pack with crystal quest, but I may have just received those games at the same time. Check here for a short movie/series of screenshots: http://www.d4.dion.ne.jp/~motohiko/darwins.htm The one I remember was in color, but it was probably a later version.
