Jeez, tell me the plumber redeems himself later on in the run; that was an embarrassing display from Mario. Looking good. I'm not too familiar with the run but I assume you skipped 'mandatory' fights there?

That gliding with Pit was amazing. Never knew you could last that long in air. :o Is there a reason that wasn't done at the start?

You actually can't last very long unless you build speed with a good dive first. On the earlier parts of the level, you can't build enough speed for it to be good (well, maybe after the first fight at 0:20 , but from what I tested gliding is just a few frames slower). edit : That just gave me the idea to try to go for 2 glides at this point, will try that. edit2 : Yeah, the first glide is really slow but set up for a second slide that saves ~30 frames. Will have to rework all that.

There are not many TAS runs with Brawl (compared to the relatively large amount of TASes with Melee), possibly either due to mods being significantly more popular (like PM, with its cancel-into-anything Turbo mode) or the much greater popularity of Melee in general. A funny TAS I found on Youtube (unmodded except for having the kill barriers on the left and right side of the screen wrap around): Link to video PS: The run is looking good, although I would consider having a 'spare' run where you save Peach instead, as it has a significant impact on the rest of the game... if you haven't got one already.

All-Star Mode TAS with Peach by the Japanese TASer who made the SSE TAS Spikestuff linked, HirasawaYui. Publication quality!

It's kind of a shame we don't have a published run of Subspace Emissary. Right now it seems the only known complete TAS is that old Japanese one. It's quite entertaining (having a sidescroller based on Smash Bros. physics allows for some really over-the-top awesome uses of damage boosting, among other things), but it probably wouldn't be publishable here even if its input movie were submitted, as it seems to be save-anchored to supply it with a limitless stockpile of stickers. Speaking of which, if someone were to submit a run of this, how would it be compared to that one for the purposes of meeting the "faster than all other known runs" criteria? Would the old Japanese TAS be simply ignored for not following the rules? Or, would some in-depth analysis be needed to show that the new one was effectively faster after trying to calculate what the other's speed would have been without the unallowable behavior?

You could just do a TAS uder those NG+ conditions and submit it with a verification movie that generates those conditions.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.
