At some point will the project add support for the TAS input plugin or something like it? At least the windows trunk doesnt support it as far as I know.

Try loading a ROM first. You can't start playback until you have the game selected and loaded.

ok thanks, I tested the stable windows version and now I made some test on this one. It's works only while I'm using the no sound plugin. some nice screenshot: ==> http://omploader.org/vMWljNA/banjo-kazooie-000.png ==> http://omploader.org/vMWljMw/banjo-kazooie-001.png ==> http://omploader.org/vMWljMQ/2009-04-11-055212_1024x768_scrot.png simply awesome and probably a great progress for linux... keep it up

Well, Mupen+ Does look promising. I just hope it's gets to be perfectly playable sooner or later. It's still a bit slow for most intents and purposes in terms of normal play with games such as Mario Golf. But this is definately a good start. EDIT: Oh, I should also add I use Windows. xD

Well...It has been a while, and I was wondering if there's been any progress for this emulator.

Last I checked, mupen64plus did not have working Windows builds (I tried compiling; it was a very painful experience), and I didn't test Linux because I lack a working Linux box.

V 1.3 has a win32 version. 2.0 is being worked on and has been promised to feature a windows build.

That version doesn't work at all for me. Perhaps the issue is that you don't provide any of the plugins other than input? It would be nice to know what I need to use to get it working... Specifically, the only plugin set that sort of worked for me was Glide64 "Napalm," zilmar's Audio, Jabo's DirectInput 7 1.6, and Hacktarux/Azimer hle rsp plugin. It outright crashed using all but Glide64 for video. It also disliked Jabo's DirectSound 1.6, and RLE RSP Plugin. With this plugin combination, the games run, but at maximum speed (about 700%) and with no audio.

January 6th, 2010: The second Beta build has been tagged 1.99.2. I'm not creating official source and binary packages of this tag, because it is primarily meant to be a Developer Preview for the new native Win32 build of Mupen64Plus. That's right, Mupen64Plus can now be built, run, and debugged from within Visual Studio. Check out the official annoncement at emutalk.

There is a windows version, but IIRC you have to compile it.

I tried loading the solution file and compiling for x64 with VS2010; the code either may not work yet with Win64 or may really need VS2005. Also there is now a Win32 build of the 1.99.3 beta, and it will work with 64-bit Windows 7 and Vista and x64 XP (but not the old IA64 version, because IA64 has no compatibility with 32-bit x86 apps)

Is anyone even working on implementing rerecording in M64P? I'm assuming it can't be THAT hard for an experienced coder since the source is similar to Mupen. The newest version was released on November 22nd. I'm guessing we won't be seeing an update for at least a few more months (the previous release was in February 2010), so why not modify the current one?

Since no one has mentioned it so far, I figured I would to show this project isn't dead After over a year, the newest updated version, Mupen64Plus 1.99.5, has been released on March/2012. http://www.emutalk.net/threads/53823-Mupen64Plus-1-99-5-tagged-and-released!
