As I haven't found any decent looking (non-tool-assisted) speedrun of this, somebody please go for it!

GTA3 -- Killing a bunch of people and trying to survive as long as possible while getting attacked by the army etc :) I'm just bloodthirsty I guess.

Although, it might prove a bit difficult to TAS a PS2 game on a PSX emulator. :x
Kirby said so, so it must be true. ( >'.')>

Besides those you've already posted, I think these would be the most interesting (in order of preference): 1. Ghost in the Shell 2. Megaman Legends 2 3. Resident Evil 2 4. Twisted Metal 2 5. Driver 1-2 6. Megaman 8 7. Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 8. Croc 9. Tekken 3 10. Dino Crisis 2 11. PaRappa the Rapper 12. Tomb Raider 1-2-3-4 13. Destruction Derby 14. Disney's Hercules 15. Einhänder
You're just fucking stupid, everyone hates you, sorry to tell you the truth. no one likes you, you're someone pretentious and TASes only to be on speed game, but don't have any hope, you won't get there.

You're just not wishing hard enough :) Man my memory sucks. Wasn't there some shooting innocent people game in the late 90's? Or did I really spend those years only playing Tony Hawk and FFVII at my friend's house?

The top-down GTA games were on PSX, at least, so you weren't completely imagining things.

Every Spyro the Dragon game for this system.

The Lost World Azure Dreams and I second Pandemonium. That might be my first effort once the emulator stabilizes. The question for Spyro is would 100% or any% be better to tackle first.

Resident Evil 1, 2, and 3. Dino Crisis Also, random question: any difference between the GBC GTA 1 and 2 and the Playstation versions (besides graphics)? I might do those after GTA Advance is complete, depending on playability.

Once the emulator is a bit more stable, I will work on Alundra. I started planning a speedrun for the game a while ago, and it would be nice to still work on something related. There are a number of speed tricks and overall awesomeness possible on this, but it is quite a long game too.

Pre-emptive no vote for finalfantasy 7-8-9. No tas should be longer the the Lotr trilogy.

Isn't the current unassisted record for VII shorter than the LotR trilogy?

This guy is working on an FF7 TAS-ish (savestates etc.) already, though it's not really what you're talking about exactly. I think it could be interesting to see the game beaten at a ridiculously low level but not sure it'd be worth wading through hours of crap to see it. Still, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would enjoy watching it because it's FF#, right? Guess we'll see how that goes when the time comes. Or maybe they'll find a glitch to skip, I don't know, disc 1 and 2 entirely. That'd be nice.

The golden rule: No TAS should suck more than the LotR trilogy. Pretty please.
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

Silent Bomber, definitely. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee all rescues - you'd be amazed how much the AI can be abused. Also, any & all Mega Man games on PSX.

I doubt they will be the first things rushed out when the emulator is accepted for TASing.
<klmz> it reminds me of that people used to keep quoting adelikat's IRC statements in the old good days <adelikat> no doubt <adelikat> klmz, they still do

While I'd like to say "this would make a great tas" it would be quite the opposite. Given that the game has randomly generated floors, you could within reason have each floor generate an exit that's ridiculously close to your starting point, and finish the game in about 10 minutes. There'd be basically no action in the run, and it would thusly be somewhat boring to watch.

There are 2 PSX games that could be great for TASing: Eggs of Steel and Deathtrap Dungeon. I played both, yet never completed them. Perhaps someone, when the PSX emulator is TAS worthy, could do a run for them.
