You really need to watch and learn from some other TASes, miker00lz. Time each fight and try to improve them, even if it's only by a frame or two. In the end, they will add up, hopefully to seconds at least. Try not to copy large materials from others. The movie will be more interesting if it contains totally new moves, combos, and ways of attack. TASing is about analyzing and evaluation of each and every spot possible in order to increase speed, and entertainment. It takes A LOT of patience. Keep on working. Some time you will get there. Looked entertaining to me. Shang Tsung gives some nice variety to the game, though you did chain the same combo several times in a row at a few points. What was with the sudden Rain vs. Noob fight, though? Keep in mind I know basically nothing about the MK series here. :)

Most of the criticism I expressed in one of your previous submissions can be applied to this WIP. Namely, repetitive combos, repetitive fighting strategies, too much Shang Tsung, etc.. Noob vs. Rain fight was an interesting idea, but both rounds were pretty much identical. I suggest watching this run a few times. Note how it keeps the variety of action without concentrating on 100% combos.

I liked some of the glitch in the game. It was nice, but the combo should be more varied.

Interesting video.... I didn't know that there's brutality in UMK3. I thought that's MK Gold only. That's probably because I never played UMK3. I owned MK Gold for PS (for only a few days and then returned it back because I can't stand the wait time for "loading....") and N64.

I think you're thinking Mortal Kombat Trilogy, minglw. In the SNES UMK3, they added Brutalities to make up for the fact that they took out Animalities. Normally I'd say that it sucks they took out the Animalities, but I actually like the SNES UMK3 better for it because they did.

why do you let jade throw those 4 projectiles at you? why not jump over the first one, manipulate her so she doesn't throw them or just sweep her?

It looks pretty good. Some combos are really impressive. The 100% hit combos only look good when they're quick, that way, the repetitiveness doesn't drag on. The only real instance of this is with Striker but it's okay, it looks funny, just don't overdo it. Using Shang Tsung is fine but the goal with him should be to use him as little as possible so that other characters get shown off. Even if the other characters don't show off nearly as much as the better ones, it still helps your run's entertainment value. You used Shang Tsung and Kitana twice so far. It would probably be better to keep trying more and more characters out and show what they're made of. Dark Fulgore did a run where he used Switcharoo (Randper Kombat) and it turned out to be very entertaining (I wish I didn't discourage him from using it in his first UMK3 run *sigh*). Maybe you could try that. I made a list of characters, for my MKII run, that I would use in each fight so that I wouldn't have to figure it out as I went. Occasionally, I would have to switch a few around in order for a better fight but I still used the list mostly the same. Consider doing this, it'll make it easier. That 2-player fight could be more interesting if you could use more characters. Randper Kombat would fix this or 2 Shang Tsungs. In my MKII TAS, the only reason I did a 2-player fight was because it was impossible to get to Smoke otherwise (except for a button input code which would lead me right to Kintaro or Shao Kahn afterward, I forget who). Since you can be way more creative in a 2-player fight, I though it'd be better to do that than using the code. I did 2 more 2-player fights to show off some more glitches and combos (combos that I saw in Dark Fulgore's Glitch Demonstration video. Many thanks my friend). I think the last 2-player fight was a bit unnecessary, in my opinion. You're getting better so don't give up. You show a lot determination to make a good run. I'll continue to try to give advice.

It's possible he's taking note of when I did something similar to that in my MKII run (I have an ego. Leave me alone :) ). I did that because I was waiting to retransform.

Hi.. How are you? Then..there was only a demonstration of player 2, in fact I go glitchs show in 2 player and show some (chars) that the Shang Tsung morph if not, some cheat code in the versus screen. I am thinking of not selecting the Shao Khan and Motaro what you think about this? only 1 player just to test. I found it much more entertaining. I loved the beginning when you almost get hit by the opponent. I was like, why did he let him h... ohh, he didn't. I love to see the glitch of the game. Like the uppercut that scroll indefinitly. I also like the combo between to transformation. With Subzero ? and Sector. Like hitting with character1, retransform in sector, and hitting the opponent before the other player is down. That's was pretty fun :P

I've probably seen more speedruns of UMK3 than any other game. I can say without a doubt this is the best one.

I liked the glitches. They were all pretty interesting. There are some parts where you use the same combo over and over, but other than that the fighting was pretty good, too.
