Your CPU is just a tad slow. You want higher clock speeds over more cores for emulation.

I'm a scrub, can some one post a (Windows 32-bit) build of this?

I second this. And could it be precompiled, if possible?

It's not up there yet. The latest version on that page is r7671. We need a 32-bit r7674 to test the read-only fix.

Well, I hope it really solves the read-only problem, since tall and I won't be able to test it.

You can download r7676 here. I tested it a few times. It works often, but it's not perfect. Save state 1 loaded and resumed play many times in a row, then it got an error once. It said something about "Compile L=R 000000." Sorry, I forget. The other save state I tested froze every time I tried to load it. It froze with "Resuming movie playback" in the window title, so it got that far.

Record before it desynch, then stop movie, then replay your file without recording. Right after the point it desynch, when not recording, you can go and check the dump frames while it plays. So that you can dump the rest of your video when dumping frames (the point it desynch because of dumping frames is avoided). You can dump the audio anytime and it won't desynch.

Does anyone know why Dolphin page looks like this: http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/list It used to list chronologically order the revisions, but now I don't understand much why it looks like that.

Looks like they upgraded the version control system to Git, which has true merges, so that indentation probably represents branches. And I agree that it looks pretty bad. I can't even tell from where the side branch starts from as there is no revision graph. And rating being lost is probably related to the migration.

The Google Code UI for git is pretty bad. You should use Git Extensions instead.

I don't think it's been asked before, but does Dolphin support games which requires you to put in a second game disc to continue playing?

I tried making a short HD encode test with SSBM, using r7323. There are many, many problems I stumbled upon. - When dumping the AVI with ffdshow h264, and opening it with avisynth (avisource), the colors in the video will be messed up. Dumping with lagarith works fine, apparently, but Youtube doesn't seem to accept it. - The resolution Dolphin dumps at depends on its current window size. I realized only very late I had to check "Auto" next to the resolution setting. - After playing back a DTM, and then playing it back again, Dolphin sometimes randomly cuts the end off, ending playback earlier than desired. After this happened, I took the original DTM from a backup folder and Dolphin would still end playback earlier... - Dolphin seems to start dumping frames at a random frame (if "Dump Frames" was checked at power-on). - Sometimes Dolphin would ignore "Dump Frames" altogether. EDIT: Or it will start dumping frames though "Dump Frames" wasn't checked. - When I dumped another AVI with ffdshow h264 lossless, the video would be cropped! Only the top-left corner was visible. Also, every subsequent AVI I dumped, regardless of what compression I use (normal h264, lagarith, uncompressed) would be cropped too. Even if I restart Dolphin. EDIT: New info: Dolphin uses the resolution the window was at prior to running the game. So if the window was 320x240, it will use that resolution, then switch to 640x480 and as a result it will crop the window. If the initial window size is greater than the resolution Dolphin switches to, it will crash. To prevent this, you can uncheck the "Render to main window" option.

In case my question went unnoticed, did the crackling sound get fixed? About TAS Input, it should be made so boxes are checked when buttons on the keyboard are pressed, and unchecked when they are not. For now, I'm interested in it for being more desync-proof than the usual way to TAS but it is too impractical to use right now. It would be more convenient if it had control stick graphics to click on, in my opinion. I think there has been something like that for Mupen too.

I think that a drawing would be better than the photos.

As long as there's something to click on. But I mainly want to interact with it with keyboard presses.
