The car spawned by the safehouse will always be a Dukes
I guess my goal should then be to mainipulate the Dukes to be as close to the safehouse as possible. Oh, and I also found out how to mainipulate the window part and I think I found out when do the spawn points of cars are determined. The point when cars spawns are determined: 1. Right after the first autosave notice and before the first cutscene. After the first cutscene, you can't seem to mainiplate the combinations that you can obtain. Example: autofiring start at frame 1100 gives me a different combination of spawns than autofiring on other frames. 2. There are several possible combinations for every frame. The L button can be used to find out every possible set of spawn points in a combination. 3. Waiting in the menu/pda will not affect the combination of spawns that are possible. 4. Waiting for several frames after you can run will change the vehicles that appear, but they are actually still part of the combination of spawns you have. Combinations: 1. Hold B here: 2. Same as above, but also hold L 3. Same as above, but also press L several times 4. Wait until the screen looks like this: then do number 1 5. Same as above, but then do number 2. 6. Same as above, but then do number 3. Edit: I have proof! I autofired at frame 1100 to the window part, made a savestate, then tried to do the exact same thing twice. Once without tools, and the other with tools. I got the same car to spawn at the same place: Note: This still works in the newest version of DeSume, but autofire is no longer the fastest method to do this because the cutscenes sometimes fail to skip even after autofire.

New method to mainipulate the cars: 1. Instead of autofiring the Start button, Hold the Start button for 2 frames after this frame: 2. Then hold start for 2 frames at various times to skip the rest of the cutscenes. 3. Combinations remain the same. Usefull Frames and combinations: Edit: That's it. I'll find out the fastest way to get police patrol/Dukes/some car before posting it here. Sorry. Cars Found: Dukes(red)

If anyone wants to do a 100% run of this game, I think the best weapon should be the Minigun. I'll post a video about keeping the minigun(waste 19 seconds) from Salt in the Wound Mission. Video Here Is it useful in a 100% run?

It would be useful in a *glitched* 100% run, killing a bunch of enemies on foot wouldn't be a problem. For a non-save glitch run the problem is that this is usually the final mission then you got to find 2 Guardian Lion statues to fill in 100% (Xin's bonus missions does not count towards the %). That's a cool find though, it was really suprisenly obvious to do :o.

I always thought the chainsaw was the quickest killer since I remember that all I had to do was tap a button and it kills the person. But I think the Minigun is awesome if you are not close to the target and if the target is a vehicle.

Here's some info about the "Salt in the Wound" mission glitches: 1. You can smuggle the minigun. 2. As long as you aren't in the boat as you reach Kenny, he won't move. 3. Kenny is attackable and killable as long as he doesn't reach his car. 4. You can leave the boat and hijack into another boat/car. 5. If you remain in the vehicle from doing above, you'll smuggle it into the island and most likely block Kenny from going to his comet. 6. Killing Kenny makes the mission unbeatable. 7. Stealing Kenny's car makes the mission unbeatable. 8. Kenny's comet is bullet-proof and seems to have an infinite amount of health. 9. If you get to Kenny's car and enter it just as Kenny reaches the car, he becomes stuck and unkillable, but can be pushed around by a car. 10. It's possible for Kenny to throw you out of the car. 11. It's possible for Kenny to drive away afterwards with Heston still in the comet. 12. You are nearly unkillable when you get out of the boat except by entering a car and drowning 13. You can't reenter the boat. 14. If you are in a vehicle or boat when Heston reaches Kenny, you lose the minigun. 15. You can get a boat onto land by hijacking one and wait for Heston to reach Kenny. 16. Graphical glitches appear once you leave the boat and do something else like press "X" or "A". 17. Kenny nor his comet never dissappears as long as the mission is still on. 18. Getting Kenny stuck and head out back to the water for a surprise. 19. Getting Kenny stuck and leaving Heston before rejoining him causes the red arrow to point at Kenny's comet. And that's about it. The main highlights of the glitch is the minigun and Kenny's invincible comet. But the latter messes up with the mission. Edit: Here's some info about cars: 1. The cars share addresses; if you destroy a car, for example, a car that later spawns would reuse that address 2. Changing camera direction while driving changes the cars ahead of you. 3. After you exit your house, actions from then on affect what car appears. 4. You can wait for a long time inside the house and the cars outside will still be the same no matter when you exit. 5. Comets don't seem to spawn outside your house at the beginning. 6. The red dukes seems to be the fastest car that appears as soon as you exit the house throughout all versions of DeSmuME 7. Driving straight is the fastest.
