Try the J or E versions, check if your image file is correct, and that you've mounted it to a virtual drive correctly. Also check if you have the region setting to either auto-detect or the correct region for the game.

Tried ISO, virtual drives, and burning it to a disc. Mode is set to Auto Detect and I'm using the U BIOS. I've also tried variations on these two. The only thing I haven't done is tried using J or E versions of the game. I hope I can get this to work eventually.

There's a saturn version of Rayman? Forgive the offtopicness, but is it identical to the PC version? I've been looking to play through the game and dosbox is retarded when it comes to recording cd audio, in all my experiences.

I can't speak for the Saturn version yet, but between the PC and Playstation versions, the differences are mostly cosmetic, like the music is changed up a bit and some graphical effects are different. The biggest change was that the very first level in Big Bad Land was changed completely. So aside from that and a few cages that were moved around, they are essentially the same thing. I imagine the Saturn version is closer to the Playstation version, but I can't say yet. Edit[/b]: I just downloaded a different dump; I can now get to the company screen before it stops loading! I'm probably not doing something right since the dump is separated into individual tracks, and I don't quite know what to do. I've tried burning the .ISO file from this dump onto a disc, but the emulator locks up... Feh. I'm getting rather frustrated with this.

If the dump goes with a .cue file, you should load it instead of the ISO or whatever (just a shot in the dark).

Another shot in the dark, i had to download 3 different dump of resident evil (U) before it realy worked Alltought my (J) cd of the same game did work directly / and me dumping it too So theres definitly bad dumps out there

Yes, Legend of Oasis now looks like how it should be. However, this is only in Window size x1 mode. In other modes there's a thick vertical line on screen. OSD information is mirrored. Maybe something wrong with my display drivers? [URL=http://www.aijaa.com/v.php?i=4351065.png][/URL]

Either my computer keeps downloading the same version, I keep using games and versions of those games that aren't very good, or my computer just can't take this emulator, but none of these fixes have worked for me in any regard. I'm done with this emulator for now. (yes I threatened that before, but now I'm not so hopeful)

I havent yet tryed a U version of Rayman But i have already tryed a J version... and it work good (tested movie recording too) Im still in the process of downloading/trying to find a good U dump, plz hold a bit more, i think this game is good to be TAS'ed, graphics are nice and animation are funny/well made, it would be cool if you can do it You need to have demon tools and load the cue that way, then use the drive letter of virtual drive in yabause

Then you should run it. Seriously, I'm going to relinquish this one. I was hoping to be able to run it myself, but all my attempts crash into brick walls (yes, I've been using Daemon Tools). If someone else can get it to work, good, you have my support; I'll just have to wait for the AVI/MKV to come out before I can watch it and enjoy it. I will be willing to offer some help with routes and things if asked. (you don't have to fight the saxophone!) Note I'm not blaming anyone in particular for this; I wouldn't be surprised if my computer just can't handle it. Paul and adelikat, please keep it up.

No, im not going to run it, i was going to help/confirm it work Now if you want just to drop it then i do as well, i wasnt intended to run this game at all As for your computer not enought good to run it, from what i could heard here and there (trought friends/IRC), if you have a between 2/2.5go cpu its ok, it will play decent, especially a 2D game, but might be a good reason to stop yeah ... dunno... anyway your in frame advance so its 0fps... If you burned cd ect... well i just kinda didnt excepted you drop it like this

I thought that using a virtual drive was only necessary for SSF...and I was kinda annoyed when I needed to install Daemon Tools Lite instead of using Microsoft's Virtual CD-ROM Control Tool.

Great comment! Very interresting, full of whisdom and helpfull too The reason whe need to use virtual drive for this game is because there is 50 audio track and the dump is made with 50 bin.... witch yabause doesnt support Now i think 99% of games dont have 50 audio track... and all other i tryed are not needing a virtual drive... its the first one Also afaik, you dont need virtual drives with SSF... it does read real physical cd drive too (like yabause...) I can search long, but that post from you, and my answer, are realy useless and doesnt help anything on development or on an encoutered problem with yabause Its called whining [/obvious sarcarms and bad whiling to show it doesnt help at all]

I should have been clearer: To use a Bin/Cue or ISO/Cue setup, as opposed to ever having owned the game, you need to use a virtual drive with SSF but usually not with Yabause.

I dare anyone to implement NESvideos Piece for the rerecord branch of Yabause, more specifically the QT port of it. From what I found out until now, this is really ugly to do, if at all. There is some function called YabauseExec in the core to emulate stuff (1 frame?), nothing special. I'd go about and use the screenshot code to get a frame's pixels as some QImage and read the information from that as needed, but the widget actually displaying the game and thus holding this frame's pixel pointer hostage has nothing to do with emulating one single frame (->YabauseExec). There's also no option to advance one frame in the QT build and to top it all off it's all threaded, so this is impossible for me to accomplish. As usually, anything on this is highly appreciated.

regarding nonworking cd images: - use CDMage, it can scan & repair a lot of broken cd images. If the scanning option is greyed out, your image is not in RAW mode. This means it's unrepairable (the repair code is only stored in raw rips), and that there is no way to check if it was ever working fine. - if you download games: the Saturn is notorious for having a ton of horrible quality rips online. It's probably your cd image and not the emulator that is broken (though with yabause, no one can tell). There are literally no good sources, and all the big "sega saturn collection" torrents have vast amounts of broken games as well. Even some of the bigger dumping groups often have broken images. So, it is better to use your own original discs. - If you use your own discs: rip them into a cd image (with anything but Alcohol), mount them, and run the image files from a virtual drive. This prevents a lot of issues with emulators (PC CDrom drives do not always have good enough timing, which can make some games crash, etc).

Now there's some advice I could have used a while ago! I did this and Rayman is running fine. Now I just need to get over the weird graphical issues and I should be good to go. Thank you! Edit: I think we're in business! I'm currently attempting to run the first level, and so far, it's pretty good. Major issues: * Trying to run memory watch while recording a movie seems to crash the emulator. It's happened three times so far. * I've had a few desynchs so far, each one caused by the game loading the next thing a few frames early due to being paused. Keep in mind I'm using the emulator's built in mounting device. Minor Issues: * The "Read Only" checkbox while loading a movie doesn't matter right now; it always loads as "Read Only" * The screen doesn't update for one or two frames when I reload a state. It's red, thin, and isn't inside a black box. What's the difference? All other issues I've mentioned before are the same. Still, it's actually working so far! I'm excited again!

Theres no issues, this was working from the start when emulation was fixed for rayman, i know its just flamming and what im doing is "bad" or at least not productive, but seriously its been nearly 2 weeks whe told you it work, nothing was fixed or added meanwhile, and all your asking for now is either wrong or stupid requests Im making this post because i laught at you when you say your needing "help", that what i call been hypocrit at the very least, didnt you sayd you "quit" yabause?... Of course this cdmage bs repaired magically everything (anyway it was working already...) Whe seriously took the hassle to check that rayman was realy working and you went away, now your back, well i tell you dude, the source is available, go on and fix yourself all those (fake) bugs, i doubt pa care about anything youll have to say now Something i learned all by myself is people are not at your disposal, he seriously helped you (even asked me to check out, just to be sure), and you seriously disapointed us when you "leaved"

Unfortunately, 257 worked "best" for me on Windows: I can capture runs, but the sound is way off for arukAdo's Castlevania run (about 1-1.5 seconds, I'd say). 2363 isn't much better as it desyncs right from the very first frame (the Konami video keeps playing although it should be skipped). Maybe I'm just doing it wrong: Start Yabause, have the image autoloaded from the config file, pause the emulator, load the movie and start capturing, unpause, desync.
