TASing with the camera code for this hack can only be done on Mupen64Plus.
How is that relevant? I didn't use the code to get that picture...I've never actually used the code ever.

Skelux made a big mistake
If by "big mistake" you mean "absolutely amazing game, that is better than the original in a variety of ways" then, yes. Yes, he did... I think he was a bit more focused on the game mechanics than preventing world skips. Still, good observation about being able to skip the key.

Agreed, I found that code to be very annoying. It didn't allow me to switch to Lakitu view or the close-in Mario view even if I wanted to.

Pretty sure that was taken out of context..... I wasn't questioning how good the hack is, lol. I think that Star Road is absolutely spectacular. I was just pointing out that putting the area that a keydoor leads to in the same space as the keydoor wasn't the best idea (referring to it as a "big mistake"). =)

I don't have an opinion about the code, as I've never taken the time to enter it into PJ64.

The hack looks well made, but I couldn't bare the thought of watching another 0 star run. The only way I can see the run being accepted is if it collected all the stars. Personally, if I think it would be best if someone was to create a hack that comprised of several varied obstacle courses. That way you would be seeing most of what the hack has to offer.

Star Road has 130 Stars and extremely varied levels. The production values are ridiculously high. You should play through it if you have a chance! =)

Maybe possible to skip the 2nd boss/keydoor? Skelux made a big mistake tying those 3 overworld areas together (the pipe area is further down, but obviously useless if skipped).
i tried that (honest to god i did) the door takes you higher up. if you blj behind it you will be in the black room of death.

1 floor below the one in the picture, in the out of bounds area, in the corner there is a spot where you can BLJ and maybe you can combine it with a walljump or something to get up to the highest floor.

Maybe by combinging the blj with that we could get an even faster run

Based on the tases i've seen, it's way better than the original. I really need to get around to playing it.

I can not wait for a 130 star run. I hope this isn't going to be some BLJ filled run that ruins it. I loved the 70 Star Run because it's how most people would play, but done on a masterful level that you realize is absolutely incredible and is what a real TAS is. Mind you... heck any run is gonna be awesome outside of a 0 star movie. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
