Alright people, here's the deal: I am still working on version 2 of Sword Master. After this I will be fully satisfied with that game, so I have a couple ideas for my next work: 1. Vice: Project Doom (aka. Gun-Dec) - About the only good game to carry the Sammy label before the Guilty Gear Era (which has very recently come to a close, sadly) arrived. Would probably be interesting in that it's about an average-length game with 3 different types of levels: Side-scrolling action stages (somewhat like a faster Ninja Gaiden without the wall-climbing), first-person shooter stages utilizing the Zapper (this is in the Lethal Enforcers/Time Crisis sense, not the Doom/Quake sense), and driving levels where you shoot stuff (think Spy Hunter). The only downside I see to this game is that there aren't any glitches I know of, and no real interesting tricks besides weapon usage/ammo management; for those not in the know, there are two special weapons in this game (a gun and grenades), and each has its own uses. However, I think that this would be more than made up for by the fast pace and variety of the game; one could have a lot of fun shooting everything in the Zapper stages (with a control pad, for extra leetness), and either doing a "Morimoto Playaround" or a "Shoot Everything" run through the driving levels. 2. Konami Wai Wai World. If you haven't heard of this game, play it! It's a fun little action game, vaguely similar to Blaster Master in its structure except that the levels are set up like a Mega Man game. The idea is that you control Konami Man and Konami Girl, and you must save various Konami characters who have been imprisoned. Among them are Simon Belmont, Goemon (aka. Mystical Ninja), Getsufuu-Maden (the title character in a very good Zelda 2-style game which was only released in Japan, and is another possible timeattack candidate), Mikey from The Goonies, King Kong (evidently Konami made a game about the character which was also only released in Japan), and even one of the Moai heads from Gradius! After you rescue each one, you can use him. Every character has a special weapon which is hidden somewhere in the game, and Konami Man & Girl can also find capes which allow them to fly. I am currently unsure as to whether any of this is really necessary to beat the game... Where the Blaster Master aspect comes in is that the characters have various unique abilities which are needed at various points. Mikey is the only one who can fit through certain passages because he's so small, King Kong can jump the highest, Getsufuu-Maden can destroy blocks with his sword, and so forth. This run would be interesting because of the various characters and other Konami references involved, and also because it switches characters a lot and requires quite a bit of planning. So, people, which of these two would you prefer? Any responses would be appreciated! Thanks, Josh.

My vote goes to Wai Wai World. I've never got very far in that game, so I'd love to see it time-attacked. The only reason I've ever played it was for the CastleVania level :P

Dan, thanks for the feedback. That game would take a lot longer to do, but I suspect it would go over better with the audience here. I'm personally more interested in that one as well, so that's probably what I'll end up doing. =) Keep it coming people, Josh.

that indeed sounds like a fantastic game to do. It sounds kind of like the bucky o'hare run except even deeper, and stranger heh. I'm hoping for that one.

Alright, Wai Wai World it is...you could probably tell that by looking at the NES forum. =P Oh, and Wai Wai World 2? That game bored the living hell out of me, very very quickly. Is there I'm something I'm missing, or is it all slow-assed autoscrolling stages? -Josh
