After burst. This was one of the hardest games I ever played, and it was on an emulator with save states. The VS mode, just...wow.

Yu-Gi-Oh: Dark Duel Stories is a surprisingly complex card game. Fusions (which don't seem to follow a pattern and don't have any complete documentation), card creation, tribute, type matchups, the works. One copy of every card can be gotten through a password, but routing out the game (800 cards+a crazy amount of construct-able combinations) is rough, and you need to beat each of the 16 opponents 5 times for a total of 80 duels. If anyone feels up to it, I'd be glad to help, but it's a bit of a daunting solo task.

We might be able to do fun glitches though, but I don't know what the goal of the run would be then:

Main issue is that after 33 duels, this should become a Turn 1 Exodia run, as you get a duelist level of 70 after your 33rd duel. TAS on the Japanese version (this one is without passwords I believe) Spreadsheet with cards data, construction cards, and card drops Disassembly of the game, if you need specific information about how the game works
I think it would still be acceptable regardless, since the Vault tier exists now.

Considering the RTA runners use passwords, and that the credits of the game are accessible only via a password, passwordless seems odd. Assuming passwords were usable, that could be much faster. As for the Exodia thing, that's assuming you can get Exodia with your first five cards. Doing some rough estimates, you could be waiting for hours to get proper RNG. So I still think the TAS would be interesting regardless.

The RNG is fixed once you are at the screen before the duel, so you can change the order of the cards in your deck to get Exodia in your starting hand.

Can't you just make a thread for the game rather than posting it here?

Link to video Could be a good one, any% or 100%. PS: If someone does TAS this game, I found out that it's possible to skip collecting the hammer, useful in any%.

If we were to TAS Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble, we're stuck with VBA until motion control is implemented in BizHawk. Wario Ware Twisted was TASed with a control hack, but is TASable with motion control on BizHawk.

There's a topic about this game here. It's been attempted twice - both stranded in the second stage out of sheer repetitiveness (even though the first stage looks pretty nice when TASed).
http://www.youtube.com/Noxxa <dwangoAC> This is a TAS (...). Not suitable for all audiences. May cause undesirable side-effects. May contain emulator abuse. Emulator may be abusive. This product contains glitches known to the state of California to cause egg defects. <Masterjun> I'm just a guy arranging bits in a sequence which could potentially amuse other people looking at these bits <adelikat> In Oregon Trail, I sacrificed my own family to save time. In Star trek, I killed helpless comrades in escape pods to save time. Here, I kill my allies to save time. I think I need help.

my personal page - my YouTube channel - my GitHub - my Discord: thunderaxe31 <Masterjun> if you look at the "NES" in a weird angle, it actually clearly says "GBA"

Marble Madness GBC. A couple of us have been speedrunning it and found a bunch of stuff making it viable for RTA (it was previously thought to be unfinishable due to slow platforms at Ultimate). The potentially final thing would be help in Ultimate to make a faster platform cycle taking SOB from 2:43 to 2:40/2:39 which would be a hilarious parallel of the NES version. If anyone is interested feel free to head to the MM discord or PM me for info on what we know.

Un Indien Dans La Ville - the camera can be manipped to despawn platforms and save cycles but we haven't quite the ability to do it in RTA and I haven't quite the ability to TAS, but there's also potential lag and item bonus management as well as damage boosts so it would make a great TAS.

Men In Black 2: The Series on GBC, the first game has a TAS but nothing for this one. Pretty straightforward route, collect the 4 pairs of sunglasses in each level then exit. Skipping thru the machine guns in level 2 saves a lot but hard RTA. Most time save would likely be on the bosses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkSLb57Jawk

Little Nicky, platformer, pretty fast moving. I discovered a multi jump glitch, hitting jump again near the top of the jump height, not sure of the exact window, but a TAS could certainly trivialize a lot of stages with repeated vertical jumping. Doc Cosmos: The Saga Begins, GBC homebrew game. Go around collecting keys to open doors, and you switch back and forth between 2 time periods to reveal hidden things to progress. I found a way to grab a red key early and I believe that saves a lot of time backtracking and skips needing one red and one green key. You can also zip or get stuck in certain spots if you flip time when you are in a bridge or wall, not sure it's useful tho. I think my key route is solid, but not sure since no one else has run it. Atlantis: The Lost Empire on GBC, platformer with some puzzle elements. You have 5 characters, each with a specific ability, that you swap between to get past obstacles. You can only swap characters at a radio, and each radio only has certain characters available, so quite a lot of the game is linear due to the sequence it forces you to take. I did find a number of spots where I was able to skip intended character swaps, and there might be more. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdXDBPDfimc

A couple of short homebrew games. The ROMs are available for free on the devs Itch, links are in the descriptions of my runs. Sam Mallard, a noir style adventure game. I think I came up with a solid route. RTA run - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sm4WVI5YYu8 Dangan, a bullet hell, boss rush shmup. Just 6 bosses, so also pretty short.
