[https://www.winehq.org|Wine] is a compatibility layer for running Windows programs on Linux. Wine support in libTAS is very limited, and is not actively being worked on. No TASVideos submissions have been made with Wine. If a Windows game is old enough, it may be better to run through [EmulatorResources/PCem|PCem].
! Wine version
As Wine support has not been worked on since 2019/2020, the most compatible versions will likely be Wine 4 or 5 (see [https://github.com/clementgallet/libTAS/issues/401|#401]). Note that Wine only provides prebuilt packages back to version 7 on Ubuntu 22, and other distributions will be similar. An old version may not be necessary however, Wine 9.0 has been [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2Ux4bs9lY0|shown to work in libTAS].
! Windows version
You can choose a Windows version in winecfg. Older versions such as Windows XP may be more compatible.
! Using with libTAS
