!!Introduction

The All Platforms Challenge was first thought up by [HomePages/adelikat/AllPlatformsChallenge|adelikat] around 2008. [HomePages/Noxxa/AllPlatformsChallenge|Noxxa] then started their own page for the challenge around 2016. Having followed this site since I think 2009-2010, I've taken a lot of inspiration and entertainment by the many folks who have contributed to this site. This is my personal page on doing that challenge as well.

I'm not doing this just to copycat some of the greats on here, though. I'm always looking for neat and/or interesting games that folks have probably overlooked for one reason or another. One way to show them off is simply just make a publishable TAS for them so they get more exposure. I want to promote the history and culture of gaming, and TASing is a small but unique way of doing that.

The real challenge is that there are a LOT more TASable platforms than there were in 2008 and 2016. At some point I gotta learn to do traditional TASing methods since not everything has a TAStudio-like setup available. I don't expect to ever see this challenge to the complete end but I can certainly try. At the very least I want to get all the Sega consoles TASed.

Any TASes that I list are the first ones I got published for the platform. I also have additional notes that can be interesting. I also conveniently made separate tabs for each group I can think of, though it may not be perfect. Platforms on each list are roughly in release date order.

%%TAB Atari%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|A2600|[5458M]|I discovered this game from this [https://youtu.be/1AGMEZvU14g|summer 2023 homebrew showcase]. Here's the [https://mathangames.itch.io/xanthiom-2600|itch.io game page] for Xanthiom for folks who want to give it a try yourselves. I also recommend checking out the other games from that video yourselves if they catch your interest.|
|A7800|[4758M]|The first homebrew Atari 7800 game TAS published on this website.|
|Lynx| | |
|Jaguar| | |
|JaguarCD| | |

%%TAB NEC%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|PC98| | |
|PCE|[4808M]|This was a Speed Bump game until a different port was chosen due to how awkward to play the PC Engine port was.|
|PCECD|[5975M]|The inputs for special moves in this port aren't quite negative edge so it's harder to get those moves out. Good thing saving input macros in TAStudio exists so I only need to reuse inputs when it helps in fights. Also, I can't tell if this versions of Sagat's stage theme is better or worse than the original arcade version.|
|SGX| | |
|PCFX| | |

%%TAB Nintendo%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|NES|[4752M]|Punch Drunks is still a good comedy film worth watching if you got time.|
|FDS|[6174M]|This also happens to be my 50th published TAS. Neat!%%% %%%This is very much an early NES (okay, FDS) Sunsoft game since it's kind of a mess to actually play. Dead Zone has a lot of the problems that can be seen in other NES adventure games that make it frustrating. Ripple Island is a much better Sunsoft adventure game to play, though comparing games that are 2 years apart isn't exactly a fair comparison.|
|GB|[4564M]|My first submitted and published TAS on this website.|
|SNES|[5226M]|My first ROM hack TAS. Also worth checking out the other entries of QLDC 2023 if you're interested over here: [https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=viewthread&t=124298]|
|SGB| | |
|BSX|[5926M]|The April Fools 2024 submission of a game that's essentially a gamified SNES controller test program.|
|GBC|[4641M]|A kinda serious April Fools submission of a silly game.|
|VBoy|[5906M]|Going through a top down shooter with the character who doesn't shoot is a counterintuitive idea. And yet, the knife has incredible damage on enemies and bosses that the lack of range is an alright tradeoff for high damage per second. This is a prime example of what I've called counterintuitive strategies where doing something that would seem suboptimal at first glance ends up saving time instead.|
|N64| | |
|N64DD|[5644M]|The first [https://www.mariowiki.com/Nintendo_64DD|Nintendo 64 Dynamic Drive] publication on TASVideos. If you've seen this game before it was probably from this [https://youtu.be/06LAr2SLttA|Classics of Game] video. There's a very good chance I could become the only person who would have an N64DD publication before an N64 publication but only time will tell.|
|GBA|[4690M]|Again, special thanks to kalimag for finding and cataloging the data for this game. Without them, this definitely wouldn't be as good as it turned out.|
|GC| | |
|DS|[5336M]|My first collaboration TAS. I also done did a big as heck gaffe on the judging part of this submission that I'm not proud of.|
|Wii| | |
|DSi|[4972M]|This was partially done as a stress test of how well the melonDS core in BizHawk would handle RNG for DSi games. My analysis is that as long as it never uses NAND for RNG determination then it should work fine.|
|3DS|[5924M]|The first publication of a 3DS eShop only game. Also, this is the 3rd ever 3DS publication but it's the least 3D game among them by far.|

%%TAB Sega%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|SG1000|[4869M]|This showcases the limitations of the SG-1000 when it comes to action platforming games.|
|SMS|[4629M]|The first homebrew Sega Master System game TAS published on this website.|
|Genesis|[4596M]|This uses a particular version of the game because normally the game saves data to EEPROM, which has been a continual problem for emulators to get right. The alt version uses regular SRAM saving methods.|
|GG|[5552M]|This makes me the second author on this website to have published all the available Sega consoles TASable as of 7 September 2023. The first person to accomplish that, of course, was [user:adelikat]. Anyways, this is probably one of the best Game Gear shoot 'em ups and I highly recommend others try it out for themselves as well.|
|SegaCD|[4894M]|The one TAS I have made that I can safely say is the most unwatchable due to the incredibly crunchy scaling effects. The Sega CD is trying its best, the poor thing.|
|32X|[5410M]|The 20th console I've made a published TAS for! It probably would've been funnier if it was the 32nd one, though. More games should let your mech have punching options.|
|Saturn|[4982M]|Can't believe I also found tech for those who are considering 1 credit clears. Said tech is: don't play the car driving minigame if you're at high rank because sometimes RNG can give impossible to complete patterns even with perfect TAS movement. How rude.|

%%TAB Other non-computer consoles%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|Arcade|[5257M]|Getting to old arcade game memes for April Fools before anyone else has. And yet, not the first fully completed TAS I've done on a version of the MAMEHawk core in BizHawk. That one goes to [5277M|Quartet].|
|O2| | |
|INTV|[5381M]|The first Data East game I've TASed. This is also the first TAS that I've used a proper analog controller for though the game doesn't need any fine controls.|
|Coleco|[5612M]|This is probably one of the stranger movie/book tie-in games I've ever come across. I'm not quite sure you'd want to revive an AI that has done murders but I'm not future NASA from the future year of 2010.|
|VEC| | |
|CDi| | |
|PSX|[5529M]|The first lightgun game I've TASed. Also the first game I've TASed of the PlayStation Simple Series games.|
|TI83| | |
|NGP| | |
|WSWAN|[6054M]|This is the 30th console that I have a TAS published. It's also technically the first ZZT game published on TASVideos. I highly recommend playing the game for yourself since it's pretty short. I am curious if Zeta's Linux port can allow for ZZT TASes with LibTAS rather than DOS TASing tools, though I haven't quite had the drive to try it myself at this time.%%% %%%You can play and download the original version here: https://museumofzzt.com/file/view/atwt/ %%%You can also download the WonderSwan Color port here: https://museumofzzt.com/file/view/atwt_ws_v1.1/|

%%TAB 20th century computer platforms%%

||Console||Publication if completed||Extra notes||
|AppleII|[5401M]|My first educational game TAS. I don't think it's the best way to teach fractions but I'm not an expert on child education.|
|X1| | |
|ZXS|[5355M]|My first TAS on any microcomputer. It's also the 10th ZX Spectrum game to get a publication, which is an interesting tidbit.|
|C64| | |
|SVI3x8| | |
|MSX|[4842M]|The first published TAS using the MSXHawk core in BizHawk.|
