In case you haven't noticed, _someone_ unrejected the SM submission. Everyone please redirect this overdone conversation to that thread.

2nd scene - cool except when you kicked the linda's off the ladder, that was just tedious and had me going "aaahhhh no! don't do that! when I saw that was what you were going to do" 3rd scene - wow! cool glitches that I have never seen before! this part rocked 4th scene, doding the linda whip, cool, glitchign the lindas off the screen = awesome. I knew about the ladder glitch but I didn't know about all the fun you could have with that idea. I think that part went on way too long though. However, I liked that one of the linda's died without you ever touching her 5th scene - nothing special here Level 2 scene 1 - nothing special scene 2 - passively handline the guy with the bat was cool, glitched bat in the fence was cool, guy walking of the screen and never coming back cool. invisiable guy glitch to get lots of hearts is old and known, but yeah, cool and should be in there. Level up completely though is rather boring! final scene - finishing the entire scene passively would have been funnier than beating up on chin some Level 3 Knife stuff was kind of neat chin fights weren't all that entertaining, not boring though glitched bridge stuff was lol the death was super lol, yes! and it put you further ahead in the game, even more awesome Overall, I guess I found this entertaining, though a few parts I think could have been done differently. Suggestions for the rest of the movie: The stalagtites part should probably just be handled fast In the first blue cave scene, you can hit enemies off the ledge to the left, that is slower than the published TAS but something a lot of people probably don't know so I think it would be nice to show off You can die one more time, find another awesome place to show that! I recommend not using either of the deaths from the published movie. Glitched weapon trick on the final scene is a must

Good enough for a weak yes vote.

Well, I've already watched this movie, and I'll just say it is a quality addition to the site, so easy yes vote.

did you download it on May 30th? could the date represent your downloaded date, not compile date? I am also not aware of it being updated recently. I think we need to start putting the version number into release binaries to avoid this confusion. Also, this particular version will remain available on fceux.com link at least until a new release of the main (9.3) happens. And no updates of fceux.com will affect movie sync so you should be safe to download from that link at any time.

Not true. Not for Gradius III anyway, I can't speak for any other Gradius game.
Hey! My gradius run was not at all easy to make :P

http://tasvideos.org/EmulatorResources/PotentialEmulators.html We have a list of ideas for TASes, why not Emulators? This page is a list of open source emulators not already approved for TASVideos. My hope is that it is a place where a potential developer could go to find possible projects to work on. Help is much needed to expand the list. Editors, feel free to add emulators to the list. Non editors can post links here, and I will update the page.

I've already told nineko this. That isn't some text field. The submission code reads the .mmv file to determine whether it is GG or SMS. The code will have to be rewritten. It will not be rewritten until .mmv format is modified to have a GG vs SMS flag. Of course, then the submission will also have to be hex edited.

Ok, fixed the "bug" that allowed you to create the poll. I also disabled voting on the poll, sorry. So the results are in, the poll was officially lame! ;)

You guys have bad memories! I found a lot of games that might could fit on this list. However, to remain impartial I am NOT officially nominating these. Just throwing them out there for you guys to consider. Someone else will have to actually care enough to nominate. All of these were movies that were 1) rejected 2) didn't break any site rules, and 3) got a ok viewer response (majority of yes votes) Jewel master - http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5868 - I honestly think this one would have been accepted had it been submitted today Rocman X - http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7597 Little Nemo - http://tasvideos.org/2010S.html Rejected due to known improvements, I think things are more lax about that now Firemen - http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5588&highlight= I think this one might be publishable these days Sandra no Daibouken - http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5522&highlight= - maybe I was too harsh on this one, seems publishable entertainmentwise Marvel Land - http://tasvideos.org/1948S.html - borderline & got decent votes Bram Stokers Dracula - http://tasvideos.org/1881S.html - decent votes & borderline possibly publishable Gruevy! - http://tasvideos.org/1684S.html Gyromite - http://tasvideos.org/1668S.html - classic game (nostalgia factor) decent votes Super C 1 player - http://tasvideos.org/1660S.html - one of the most optimized runs I ever rejected, A+ on tech quality, but was a questionable category Animaniacs - http://tasvideos.org/1606S.html - got a majority of yes votes, possibly passable Claymates - http://tasvideos.org/742S.html - maybe it is better suited these days? Robin Hood - http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5396 - I think this one was canceled so it wouldn't get rejected, otherwise I wouldnt' add a canceled to the list Cybernator - http://tasvideos.org/519S.html - going old school now! And what the hell, how about a movie that improves a published movie by 80 minutes: http://tasvideos.org/2012S.html

Issue #1 is essentially a non issue. When dega detects a game gear rom it changes to the correct screen resolution. As far as palletes it seems to only be an issue for some games (and makes them unplayable). As far as site acceptance, this won't hinder it Issue #2, using only the file extension is the one that is currently unacceptable. Shiny seems to have done step 1, get dega to recognize the information in the game header. Step 2 is to have this info recorded into the movie format (in a way that doesn't break compatibility with older .mmv files). Hopefully we will sort this out soon so that we can have game gear games. (EDIT: The same thing would have to be added to mednafen in order for us to accept game gear games with it)

You will be waiting a long time before you see that. If we get PS2 rerecording I'll be tackling some GTA games. I expect that to take awhile.

The Game Gear has a display mode which allows for the 32 colors on-screen to be picked from a palette of 4096 possible hues. The SMS master palette, on the other hand, is only 64 hues. As a result there are several SMS emulators (of which Dega is one) that do not properly emulate Game Gear games.
Given this information, and the fact that the dega movie file format can not reliably distinguish sms from gg, perhaps dega should not be approved for game gear TASes?

A quick couple questions: Who is 'we'? The original developers? (curiosity, mainly) Also, as the emulator is still in progress, will it be possible to merge changes in the main branch with the rr branch? The compatibility list suggests that the emulation is still lacking in some fundamental issues, like opacity layers.
The rerecording devs = paul_t, me, zeromus The main devs I don't think really care about rerecording but we have worked with them on porting stuff over. I'm not sure if the official TAS version will be yabause-rr or the main yabause.
Also, are you overwhelmed yet? How many emulators can one man take on?
Not yet apparently. Emulators seem to be my crack cocaine.

Nice run, I vote yes. Also,I find it amusing that, if published, there will be 2 published movies that employ a "fart attack". Perhaps we should add it as an official category ;)

Yeah, it's a glitch, all right. Something in the processing of the complicated combo makes it set the rest of the bottle with the "cleared" flag, ending the level immediately.
In that case, lol & yes vote.

Why does the level end before you clear all the viruses? Does the overloaded combo glitch cause that?
