- Well, this game is the GBA version of the Contra III: The Alien Wars. It has same stages except stage 2 and 5 which are also copied the last two stages from Contra: Hard Corps when taking the Lab/Surrender route (according to SRC). The music is downgraded and the amount of weapons also reduced to just one at a time instead of two.
- This run beats Mr. K's old TAS by around 25 seconds, mostly due to heavy optimizations, which is expected considering he also noted that his run wasn't optimized.
- Comparing this game to SNES version, they nerfed Crush weapon heavily but instead made Laser incredibly powerful, which is now the main weapon for every boss, except the turtle and first mini boss in area 6, which required Spread for faster kill.
- I used Fortranm's lua script to display enemies HP, which was very helpful to time all shots accordingly, hence why you see in some bosses, like the robot in stage 2, where I don't shoot them right away because it won't do any damage. I also improved his WIP by around 2 seconds through more optimizations as well.

Challenger: Nice to see another Contra game here! Comparing both RTA WR, Mr.K's old TAS and the submitted run, it's definitely noticeable how much effort was put into the project.
Too bad the GBA port nerfed some cool stuff (such as bombs and 3D stages) previously seen in the original SNES game, but for the other side the Laser weapon usage is pretty surprising in this version: every battle is very well managed and optimized to the fullest potential!
At last, time to accept this game to Standard :)
