Peek-a-boo! Not a hockey game!
...
But you wish it was!
...
This is a bad game, almost underflowing to the very good kind of bad, but not quite there.
A casual TAS.
Regret nothing.
Game objectives
- Emulator: BizHawk 2.11
- Aims for fastest time
- Takes damage to save time
- Manipulates RNG
- Genre: Sports
We need to insert at least one letter as a name for the player. I select empty space.
The 1-player mode is a tournament where we need to do all 6 gladiator events against 3 increasinly difficult opponents. The points from each event are added together and the winner is the player with more points.
Some of the events are timed, so we can't save time by doing them fast. All we can do is avoid lag.
In some events losing instantly is the fastest method, but then we risk losing the whole game because the opponent can get more points than us. Luckily we can gather enough points in the timed events, so we can avoid losing the game.
The events
1. Ball
Ball hits us.
2. Joust
The first opponent is not aggressive, so it is faster to defeat him. In the later iterations of the event the opponent has more HP so we lose intentionally to save time. You can save time if you can manipulate the opponents better so that we lose faster.
3. Balls
Timed event.
4. Basketballs
Timed event.
5. Climb
You can save time if you can manipulate RNG better.
6. Race
You can save time if you can manipulate RNG and make the opponent faster.
Conclusion
The 2-player mode playaround might be a better choice because we only need to do each event once. One player could do maximum points and the other player could show the fastest method in each event.
The race event is the best because one part of it goes insanely fast with button smashing, but overall this is maybe one of the worst games I have ever played. I was wondering why nobody had tased a great legendary sports game with nice fast events and gladiator action. Now we know.
Have a nice day anyway!
