"Astro-PANIC!" is a fast-paced, high-speed, all-machine-language game. The object is to defend your cannon, maneuvering it left and right as alien saucers dodge and dive in a relentless attack. - description in COMPUTE!'s Gazette Issue #8
Astro-Panic! is a computer game released as a code listing in the very popular Commodore series magazine, COMPUTE! Gazette, in 1984. The author of the game, Charles Brannon, was a great contributor to the magazine for many articles and programs. Astro-Panic! was one of his most popular games, written completely in 6510 machine language and printed in the Gazette.
nymx manipulates the alien's RNG so much that they look like they want to get shot, and gets to level 15 in record time. Note that at level 15 the game continues, but difficulty drops to 0 and the game is effectively over.
