The Masters Fighter is a port of the arcade game Master's Fury for the PlayStation that was released only in Japan. While Master's Fury was already notorious for ripping off characters and mechanics — sometimes wholesale — from other fighting games such as Fatal Fury, The Masters Fighter takes it further by being an inferior port in every aspect. The graphics are muddy and garish, the animations are choppy, the music is completely different, the lag is intense and heavy, and the game often doesn't register inputs on certain frames. The enemy AI is simplistic and can be exploited with little effort and the overall gameplay is poorly programmed, with hitboxes often not matching the sprites.
In this run, CoolHandMike chooses Long-Way and makes great use of his busted version of the Haoh Shoko Ken to end every one-round match as soon as possible.
The baseline tab shows the default movie beating the game as fast as possible without any special conditions.
