  • FCEUX 2.2.3
  • Aims for fastest time
  • Good ending of first quest
  • Takes damage to save time
  • Genre: Platform
This TAS runs 186 frames faster than the current one
Squat skills: when the protagonist jumps to the ground, press and hold squat + jump at the same time, which can make the next jump faster(When I got to stage 5, I found this technique)
Improvement details

Stage 1

Use the red ghost to do damage to cross the river.Boss battle better optimization

Stage 2

Better control of lifting platform.Boss battle better optimization

Stage 3

Reduce the number of jumps.Boss battle better optimization

Stage 4

Boss battle better optimization

Stage 5

Use the squat technique on the platform above the birthplace to cause damage and jump faster.Boss battle better optimization

Stage 6

At the top left of this stage, use the squat technique to increase the speed of the jump

This stage is very bad, I lost about 26 frames at this stage.
The number of lost frames is mainly due to the obstruction of Feilong. I tried many ways to find a solution, but failed in the end. I had to lose frames
At this stage, the boss also lost frames, mainly due to the action trajectory of the boss. At different times, the action track of meeting boss is different“ The "arc" boos combat is already the best solution and cannot be optimized. But due to bad luck, I had to stay at 10 + frames below. To get the same trajectory. There's no other way. I've tried to change the boss's fighting strategy, and I can't get frames

The last boss

Use the squat technique to reduce the length of stay

Samsara: Judging.
Samsara: In the previous submission, I talked about how Ghosts 'n Goblins was the perfect example of one of my favorite parts of the TAS scene. To explain it further: This game has a long and storied history on the site. The first published Ghosts and Goblins run was quite literally the first user submission TASvideos ever received. That was over 17 years ago, and today, in the year of our lord Two Thousand And Twenty Part Two: Unmasked (known overseas as Two Thousand And Sixteen Part Six: We Really Fricked It), we received another fantastic run of it. New optimizations, new tricks, even a new TASer after Arc's absolute dominance over Ghosts w/ Goblins from the very start. It's a great thing to witness, it proves the longevity of the community and the hobby, as well as the evolution of the tools and techniques over a near two-decade period. Perhaps there could be another Ghosts ft. Goblins run in the near future, or perhaps it could be in the far future, but it seems perfectly clear to me that we will have another Ghosts alongside Goblins run just in general, and perhaps more Ghosts as well as Goblins runs after that, and frankly I am here for more Ghosts in addition to Goblins.
Accepting as an improvement over the previous Ghosts that have been joined by Goblins run!
