Rockman Deus Ex Machina is one of the best sophisticated hacks in Mega Man II history. It is programmed almost every part of the game you’ve never expected before. The boss fights are incredibly hyperactive. Players find this hack a clear winner. Background Music is made by the author of Rockman No Constancy IKA.
In October of last year, woabclf's [5600] NES Rockman: Deus Ex Machina "Normal" by woabclf in 27:02.51, which has been ten years in the making, was finally published. After this movie, we also found that this TAS needs a lot of optimization, there are a lot of places that can be delayed scrolling, improve the details to improve the overall speed, which is also the same as Darkman425's idea, so this submission compared to the previous one, to improve the details of the very much, increase the delayed scrolling, and at the same time with the help of the Wily Stage 6 of the Glitch for a big improvement.
Among other things, Yhc4913 discovered the Wily Stage's Glitch bug from the ReinVos RTA footage and utilized this into the new TAS, thus bringing an epic boost, as for the principle behind it, at this point, we're guessing that it should be the condition of reaching a certain address value that leads to the use of explosive damage, causing Zero's HP to decrease rapidly, this is just an estimation and a guess, but it does play a very important role in this TAS boost. So it is also considered a co-author of this TAS submission.
Compared to only [5600] NES Rockman: Deus Ex Machina "Normal" by woabclf in 27:02.51, the number of frames increased as follows:
Stages Total Improve Frames
Bubble Man 300
Metal Man 580
Quick Man 687
Air Man 1152
Heat Man 1304
Wood Man 1460
Clash Man 1728
Flash Man 1823
Wily Stage 11871
Wily Stage 22136
Wily Stage 32305
Wily Stage 42490
Wily Stage 52613
Wily Stage 62763
Since there are fewer points to boost in the first 8 levels, I'll mention a few important points for this TAS to boost in the Castle level:

Wily Stage 1

From 62,670 frame to 63,099 frame here, after choosing to use a delayed roll here, go down the road and choose to be touched by a pancake crusher for half a tube of blood, as the big dragons in this game are the ones that don't spike after touching a Rockman, which is relatively rare.

Wily Stage 2

From frame 68187 to 68355 here, where due to the previous [6055] NES Rockman no Constancy (normal) by CUI & warmCabin in 25:30.80, that using the blocky body glitch (walkies through blockies?) was used in Heat Man, Air Man, which in turn made you temporarily invincible and passed through enemies.

Wily Stage 6

This level is kind of the epic boosting point in this TAS Submission. As mentioned in the previous introduction, Yhc4913 found glitches in ReinVos RTA‘s video that could quickly spike Zero. So in this TAS, CUI is also timing this glitch to be fast enough and accurate enough. The prerequisite for triggering the glitch can be reached by releasing the leaf shield somewhere during the penultimate map. Then when you fight Zero, you have to use the Clash weapon's explosive damage in order to make Zero's blood drop faster, which boosts the time quite a bit compared to the original.
So This is the ReinVos RTA‘s video.
This is comparison video (Made By Me) :
That's all there is to this TAS submission.
2024-08-13 Updated: CUI’s done a lot of optimization here at Wily Stage 6, improving the frame rate again to 93 frames ,so the total time to 46 seconds.
This updated FM2, I have uploaded this to the user file https://tasvideos.org/UserFiles/Info/638591459418406739
Hopefully this judgement will replace the FM2 file I just uploaded, apologies for that.
