Why did I make a TAS of this game?

I was browsing the GBA game list and saw it on there and decided to try it out.

RNG Manipulation Explained:

Using the lowest possible rolls, I can manipulate the CPUS Dice outcome to always land on a snake eye and where they move on the board. By activating the cursor for 1 frame I can influence the direction the CPU's travel. Since this for fastest completion, I wanted to roll a 1 on the dice and have them move to a yellow circle which has no bonuses and activates the next turn the quickest.

Language Choice Differences:

  • English = 2nd fastest @ 00:29.68
  • French = 2nd slowest @ 00:29.84
  • Dutch = Fastest @ 00:29.63
  • Italian = Slowest @ 00:29.87
  • Spanish = *Ties English* @ 00:29.68
by selecting Donald Duck the outcome here is 1772 and not 1770 as stated, but still Dutch is chosen since it's the fastest, and Donald is the fastest.

Character Choice:

Initially this run used Mickey Mouse as it was the fastest choice to pick, however I decided to look further into character selection, and it turned out that Donald Duck was faster than Mickey Mouse. Donald outright runs faster than Mickey, so I picked Donald over Mickey here.

Why only 1 Board?

The game never actually makes you to travel to the other boards, so completing only one board activates the final boss and activates the credits to play. (All Boards could be a separate submission).

Possible Improvements:

  • Maybe using a BOT to brute force better RNG. As it stands now, I went with the best possible outcome I could find alas also being a human.

Darkman425: Input file replaced by the improvement linked a little bit above this judgment note.
Everything looks well optimized. The RNG manipulation to finish the board game seems reasonable enough without the use of scripting or botting. The sidescrolling gameplay looks well optimized in movement and boss fighting. Good work!
Accepting to Standard.
