Dang. I like how, after that whole glitch, it causes the level data buffer to be screwed up and tiles will start randomly shifting to the right. It reminded me of Metroid 2's select glitch.
super metroid graphic fun to the left http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2834/G-totheleft.smv and to the top :) (this is kinda complicated but also more fun) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/2835/G-tothetop.smv
that second glitch is interesting...expecially since the glitch doesn't go away when you do anything else.

Can anyone here read Japanese? I'm just curious although it's probably gibberish. Just a png, no need to fire up your emulator. EDIT: +3l2l24, &l)94l2, 10[|{3 (I'm actually kind of glad no one got it.) EDIT2: Yay! NrgSpoon!

Japanese, yes. I think the only differences between that and the English version are the job names on the right-hand side of the left-hand window. "machinist" "treasure hunter"and "magic knight", I guess. Equipment, status, items and all that are the same. The names are gibberish, though. "Who is Tetareremu, and what have you done with Terra?!" edit: You loaded an English savestate in a Japanese ROM? T-E-R-R-A would seem to bear the same hex numbers as te-ta-re-re-mu...

This thread at Acmlm's inspired me to take a trip down SMB2J, something I hadn't done in a while: http://www.filespace.org/4matsy/smb2j_allwarps.fcm (Right-Click, Save As(tm). FDS rom, FCEU 0.98.15.) True to beneficii's prediction, I was indeed awarded world 9, despite taking no less than SEVEN different warp zones (all except 4...no way to take it and go back to world 3 to beat that castle). LOL XD

Ahh... That's a shame. Gau appears! > Cyan uses retort > Imp/kill Cyan > Revive Cyan, stop Gau > Hit Cyan. > Cyan slashes Gau to ribbons. The kid's not getting back up this time. 44 GP!

I'm just seeing it now. I got it after 10 seconds, without your hint.

Would anyone be interested in a compilation video of some of the stuff in this thread? I've been gathering the AVIs and I figure if you guys want it to happen I'll slap one up on YouTube with proper credit and stuff.

No, please don't. I don't think it's a good thing to post any movies to Youtube or sites like that. Even if it has the proper description, people will still get a wrong picture of TASes, or don't undesrtand that they're tool-assisted (mainly because they're too lazy to read the description). But that is just my personal opinion.

Slap ahead, I say. Just be sure to put the disclaimer in beginning of the movie too, not only the description.

Yeah, the description seems to be ignored quite often.

On my youtube - I put a test video without any sound on it - and said there is no sound in the description and someone just basically said "WTF ma i death, their's no sond." (yes i deleberately added the spelling mistakes because I deleted the comment straight away.)

In that case, I'll probably give the little "This movie is tool-assisted" message at the start a voice reading it out, just to make sure nobody misses it.

I have a weird idea about this: one could make a stop motion video. Maybe much work, but would look quite funny :)

Saw this on the internet somewhere, decided to record a movie of it. No tool-assistedness, just something vaguely interesting. Wario Land 4 Debug Room

The tank in Blaster Master apparantly has to be on the ground to explode. Too bad this bug is useless in a TAS.

Mushroom, how do you download that file?

On the download page, click "Download file" and then type in the security code thingy. Then click the button under the text field (don't hit "Enter") and the download should start. The Clue one is a zmv, and the SMB3 one is an mkv.
