The reason why Ego Buff got lower time than me was because of his S&Q warping. I think I can make an SS run under 2 hours, and I'm NOT going to skip some of the tricks or similar:). I want to include everything I know. I'm going to start with a new pegasus route as well, hehe. I will made the OoA speedrun first though. And to that, I need a pegasus route... But I guess I finish the one for Vespa first... Oh well:P.

Now that I think about it, sub 2 hrs. for a SS may not be humanly possible. You may be able to pull it off if done in segments, but I think you would have to abuse luck pretty heavily. What do they allow at SDA? Can you end a segment anytime you want?

Yes, but if the game starts you off at a different place it will be labeled "with save warping"

There are a lot of improvements in my run. Lots of things that aren't even noticeable. I'll see what I can do about it anyway. Going to look through my run a bit to see where I can do better. Or watch your WIP's and just do the same *haha*. Seen that you have updated your progess sig. How far in the dungeon are you?

I'm at the part with those jumbo blades. I need your opinion. Do you think I'm striving too hard for perfection? I mean at this rate it will take me a year to finish this run. I could always lower my standards and get this done in a couple of months. Or would you rather wait a whole year to see the best possible result I'm willing to achieve?

Hmm, if your'e not doing it with perfection, it will be faster to improve the run later. As you know where the improvements are and you know how to do it faster. So you don't know to do it with 100% perfection, as it's going to look very good anyway. As long as it isn't so slippy as Ego's run, it's ok in my opinion :). This is the run on the site that I'm waiting the most for. So of course I want to see the final product as fast as possible hehe :D.

If you mean dropping a few frames here and then to not spend hours and hours over-optimizing everything, I don't mind. I watched the entire WIP (up to level 2's enterance) and some parts of it were amusing, some were boring. (Rosa was A+ material, though) I'd like to say to concentrate on making it entertaining and not as fast, but that'd probably conflict with your goals. :\

Yes, E_alert is working with a Secret Game run and Vespa is working with a regular version. And I'm also working with Oracle of Ages, but a speedrun instead:P. Any progress by the way?

I'm progressing slowly but surely. I'm not working on this full time, so don't expect amazing progress. Anyways, I'm currently trying to manipulate a good enemy set up in the room after you get off the cart and bomb the wall.
I Hope to see some WIPs soon...
I've posted WIP's up to the entrance to level 2, just look on previous pages in the forum.

I had an emergency which required me to leave my home for 2 and a half weeks. Now that I back home, my motivation has sky-rocketed. I may do what Xkeeper has suggested about just aiming more for entertainment then just speed. I'm not going to lower my standard too much, because I would be delving too far from my element. But you can expect to see me finish up level 2 in 1 to 2 days.

Ok, this will be nice! I've taken a small break with the Oracle runs myself, and working on a "TAS" on Zelda Parallel Worlds=P. But if you want me to researching routes and stuff, just tell me. I'm looking forward to see Dodongo become blown up!

Ooh, I got carried away with my new found excitement for Seasons, that I under estimated the length of level 2. I think a more reasonable goal to complete this level is about a week. Sorry for getting your hopes up, Tompa.

Ooh... Too bad. Take the time you need Dez! I won't rush you =). Where in the dungeon are you at the moment?

I was gone for another couple weeks because the emergency wasn't really resolved. So now I'm back, hopefully for good. Sorry Tompa, but it was something that couldn't be helped. Give me one week from today.

No problem. Was just wondering where you'd gone as you said you would post a new wip after a week:).

Ok, I'm at the boss, but I used the same route as your run. Is it even possible to go up after getting past the room with the moving platforms? That device seems to only let you go down.

Here's the route I mentioned in my Dungen Route "guide" http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/3906/D2Route.vbm Of course you shall use the pit glitch. Weren't you able to do like that...?

Oh ok, I must've overlooked that part of your route, but doesn't going that way keep you from getting any bomb refills before the boss?

Yes, sadly it does. That's why I mentioned that you could manipulate the miniboss to drop some enemies, if it didn't cause you to lose time, to get some bombs from. Is that impossible you think? I belive you could do it...

Unfortunately, the only means I have of manipulating is by slashing with the sword and delaying frames before killing the enemies, and I unequiped the sword long before I reached the miniboss. I also would have to waste time waiting for the enemies to fall. Do you still believe it would be faster if I successfully manipulated bombs at the miniboss?

I am at least able to manipulate bombs from the jars just before the boss without using the sword or killing enemies. Would that work then?=P I have not been able to get any items from the jar that you have to lift though, but from one of those besides.
