Now I'm just curious, is there any program out there that can record what I see from a PSX emulator into an avi? I need to get some footage from Symphony of the Night for a Castlevania tribute video I'm doing soon... But I can't really figure out a way to record it. I've tried various software, I have a full copy of fraps but for some reason it lags the hell out of my system. If you could help and recommend some programs or w/e to record a window without the top piece I'd appreciate it.

Also I'd like to say as well that I don't need something that'll allow re-recording. I just want anything that can record whats running on the psx emu. ^^ Thanks in advance.

Try smaller screen resolution, or faster hardware. For screen capturing, the memory speed affects a lot. Both the system RAM speed and the display memory speed, particularly reading. Harddisk speed also may affect. If your harddisk is fast, try not using heavy compression in the capturing phase, and re-encode the movie into an Internet-useable format after recording.

Try recording at lowest settings (30 fps, 320 x 240) or record to an external hard drive.

Camstudio works pretty nice although it's not free. edit: weird, I must have been thinking about some other program with a similar name, in conclusion, don't use fraps
