- battletoads doubledragon - aladdin - ecco 1 (i'm working on it, but won't be ready anytime soon) - street fighter 2 (would include choosing the fastest character, which can be hard, dunno i'm no sf2 pro) - california games (bleh, i like to play but timeattack is not good on this) - alien storm hasn't been done either - WIZ N LIZ (damn this game will make a nice run, if someone wants to do this, remember to use the extra hard dificulty cheat) edit: completely forgot about ALEX KIDD

Forgotten Worlds - great capcom flyer/shooter that involved two guys who could fly and get weapons upgrades. Not a terribly difficult game but it would be impressive to see a 100% kills timeattack considering a straightup speed run wouldn't really be all that exciting (fixed-rate scrolling on all the levels IIRC) Mystic Defender - Platform scroller kinda like Strider but with "mystic" powers. Probably a pretty short game, but hard as hell. We never beat this one when we played it as kids Super G&G - Probably the most impressive of all the incarnations of this game. Another one we never beat cus we never found the bracelet after warping back to the beginning. I know someone was working on a run of this but never completed it because they couldn't find the bracelet.

It was indeed a masterpiece, but so was Ghouls n' Ghosts for the Genesis. ;) BTW, here's my list: Adv. of Batman & Robin Ballz Batman Battletoads Boogerman Dick Tracy Fatal Labyrinth (Would something like this take ove two hours?) Ghouls n' Ghosts Revenge of Shinobi Spider-Man vs Kingpin Sword of Sodan

Only without uber-leet luck manipulation skills (in other words, patience). With excessive manipulation (See: Dragon Warrior) I'd say it can be done in, oh... Ten minutes? Less if the final boss can be beaten "quickly" at level 1 with the most powerful weapon ever. 'course, it wouldn't look too impressive: step, stairs, step, stairs, (repeat x30) step, ultimate weapon, step, fight final boss, ending. A quick look on GameFAQs shows a way to get an AC of 99 and turn a cursed weapon into a superweapon, so it might not even take five minutes.

I'm just a little pissant newb, but BombAHead's suggestion of Dynamite Headdy is a very good one. One of Treasure's most underappreciated games, in my opinion, and one that I would very much like to see run through (because I suck at it--even with savestates I could never beat Stair Wars). Anyway, that'd be neat to see, if one of you guys has time to kill or something.

Just out of pure boredom I alfabeticly (I think) sorted all the games posted in this thread. I allso was a bit curious to see how many games it became. :D It shows that there are 110 lines of games. So now someone has work to do. Hehe.. Oh.. And I added a couple of games to the list as I sorted the list. :) This list will be edited as soon as more games are posted as a request and/or if a game is complete and posted. I'd like to see "Rings of Power" speedrun, I have read one of faq over on gamefaqs.com says Naughty Dog's website claiming that few people finished this game. This game seem to be big game and extremely hard game for me. It would be totally awesome to see speedrun on this game.

I also would like to see a speedrun on "Starflight", another big and extremely hard game, but the faq on Gamefaq made it sound like its a short game (you only need 3 items to win the game, etc..)

I'm currently working on Comix Zone, Beavis and Butthead and Wonder Boy III - Monster Lair. My progress that far: Comix Zone: First level done Beavis and Butthead: 2 levels are done (Burger World and Hospital) Wonder Boy III - First level done I would really love to see a Shadowrun run. Though I think this is really hard to do. I would do it myself if I would just have enough experience for this

Wonder Boy III - Monsters Lair.. The half sidescroller game? :P A 2 player movie could be fun. It is only too shame of the graphics in the game. 16-bit and they couldn't do any better then this? :) I started a run at Wonder Boy V and i am on my way into the cave at Lilipad.

If I can hook up my Genesis Controller to the PC, then maybe I can force any of my brothers to do that 2 player run with me. We used to play this game a LOT as kids ^^

Well.. If you got problems with connecting it to your PC. Perhaps lik-sang has some solution to it? http://www.lik-sang.com/

I just noticed, on Phil's profile page, Sword of Vermilion is mentioned. Now, this is an interesting one for a couple of reasons. One, it's a mix of genres; you've got a top-down view for (very slow) towns and (awful) random battles, a first-person look (with minimap) in wilderness and dungeons, and (awful awful) side-view bosses. Two, a dungeon can be done with the first-person and minmap views completely black, if you have neither light nor map. Whether we *want* dungeons to be a mostly black screen with events dispersed throughout is another matter entirely. It's faster, and moving through dungeons is fast enough for it not to be excessively long, but at the same time it doesn't look at all impressive. In fact, it doesn't look like anything at all. Me, I'm all for taking a side trip to give the viewers some light. It'd make the movie one helluva lot easier to make, too.

It just hit my mind that Dune - The battle for Arrakis might be interesting for a run.

Hmm... How come no one has done Legend of Toki: Going Ape Spit Aka. JuJu Densetsu? It's a damn good game and VERY hard.

Frenom started, but never finished it as far as I can tell: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=440 It also surfaced during the "hardest games ever" thread. ---- One game I've been thinking of is Landstalker. It would be interesting to see just how few heart containers you can finish with. Unfortunately there are a lot of long passages where you just have to walk, walk, walk, so I hope there's some other way to make it interesting.

Landstalker was one of my favorite games as a kid.. Then my cart got corrupted... But yeah, it's long. Incredibly long, with many boring parts and some backtracking and very low chances for sequence breaking. Lots of interesting stuff could be done by the proper manipulation of enemies to be used as platforms, though, which is probably the number 1 reason for picking up gobs of heart containers.
