I'm Neo Shinryu, I've played video games all my life, and I've even done my own speed-run of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but it was for the Genesis, but I might do a TAS of it, just gotta like how Super Sonic goes at a insane speed. I would also like to state that I fully read and accept the forums rules. -Neo Shinryu

Welcome back, Dark Ice Mewtwo. (I hope I'm wrong!)

Sorry if I sounded too harsh on your other thread. A lot of people ask obvious questions and then get indignant when we tell them to read the FAQ. In my mind, it's questionable if an all-emeralds run of Sonic 2 would be accepted. There was an all-emerald run made of Sonic 1 that was rejected for not adding any entertainment value to the existing movie. The all-emerald run for Sonic 3 + Knuckles was accepted because it did add entertainment value because of the super/hyper effect and because it used Knuckles instead of Sonic. Sonic 2 is on the borderline here, so I don't know. I'm certain that this idea has been discussed before. Peruse the Sonic 2 thread to catch up on the discussion. By the way, welcome to TASVideos.

I did a quick search (another useful tool), and the only relevant post I could find was here. I don't understand why it says "guest" though, because one has to register in order to post. Edit: Bag of Magic Food writes two posts later that this user was banned. I guess you're not the only one who can't read. ; P One of his names was "Shining Shinryuu".

Thanks Deep Loner. (I'm replying to your 1st post in this topic) And I'll look into the All-Emerald Sonic 2 run, gotta brush up my skills at that mini-game. By the way, any of you like Blue Sphere from Sonic 3? That is my all-time favorite mini-game. -Neo Shinryu

It's fun to go back through all the old Off-topic posts (back to 2004), just to see who used to be here and the kind of stuff that got brought up. I think the user they're referring to ended up with around 7 aliases. BTW, if you see a post authored by someone who's profile isn't hotlinked (i.e. it's in plain black text), then that user is no longer with us :)

I really hope I'm wrong. If you're that guy, and is here only to get banned for the 7th time... you'd better find a big shotgun and shoot yourself in the face. Otherwise, disregard that advice and welcome to the forum. EDIT: go on. nobody would miss you anywhow. actually, nobody would even notice your absence.

Here's another tip: use a signature instead of always having to type -Neo Shinryu manually. Eventually I'll find something intelligent or witty or humorous to put in my signature.

Hello Neo, welcome to the forum. I feel bad that you have been hit with less than friendly greetings. Hopefully this does not discourage you from returning. In regards to the Sonic 2 run, I believe it would be accepted if done well, as the chaos emeralds add Super Sonic, which is a new side to the TAS. The Sonic 1 w/ emeralds was rejected because it was very similar to the non-emerald version, just longer. You may also consider doing Sonic 2 with Knuckles, since the ring counter does not reset to 0 after each bonus stage.

Hmm, I might do it as Knuckles, always did like his gliding and stuff. Thanks JXQ for the welcome. And Deep Loner, is the "-Neo Shinryu" thing illegal? If it is I will stop. -Neo Shinryu

No not illegal, but you can save your time from typing that every time by going to Profile link, in the signature part.

Welcome to the forum Neo Shinryu! Your question about Sonic might get more attention if asked in the Genisis thread. I suggest making a seperate topic there.

This is not something to be proud of; especially when your posts are a quick summary of themselves.

And there is another user just named "Shinryuu"! This is getting confusing. People should stop putting "Shinryuu" in their names.

I'm starting to get annoyed by these comments towards KRocketneo. Even if his post are unrelated, doesn't make it any better if others do the same.
