>Does anyone here, besides me, know about the trick to skipping the Joker's henchmen and going straight to him at the end of 5-1? I know that you don't have to fight his henchman again if you won against him and then died at the Joker. I think it works that way even if you use a continue. If that's not it, tell us more about how it works.

Well after watching your video for the first time ever just moments ago (I generally never do so, as I like to come up with my own strategies, but I was recently curious about a Revenge of Shinobi run and checked it out and well, the rest is history, I will probably be hooked on this stuff and possibly might contribute an assisted run of games that I am already dominant in without manipulation), I must say that that was truly awe inspiring, Jecy! Most of the techniques that you implemented in this run are absolutely remarkable/sick and I never even thought of doing any of the stuff that you did when I sent in a non tool assisted speedrun to Twin Galaxies last year, around this time. So you can imagine why my time was in the fixteen minute range, instead of in the nine minute range. I made Batman basically destroy enemies that I thought he had to, but man was I ever wrong lol! I am pretty sure that someone will beat my Twin Galaxies' run after seeing your video, or maybe they will just want to keep replaying this incredible video over and over again instead. Great job on the bosses by the way, my strategies were far less dangerous and a lot more cautious, as I did not want Batman to die and was lucky enough that he didn't. Is a Batman Return of the Joker assisted run in you, Jecy? You can probably come up with some amazing techniques in that game. I am just curious, because I also sent in a run for this game as well as one for Batman Returns for the NES to Twin Galaxies (all on the same tape) last year and I am sure that I missed something. Even though I can no longer vote on whether I enjoyed the video I will say it here: YES. That video was excellent and absolutely put the game to shame. If only Batman was that efficient in the movie, he would never have been touched by any of the goons or the clown prince of crime himself.

I think that the grammatically correct form would be "Batmen".

No, I checked NES forum, someone(s) may work around. May I I used to lurk as usual but I should say -> I'll count on your vote, thanks.

Alright jecy, well I wish you all of the best in the future gaming speed runs that you have in mind! I doubt that I will beat my own Batman non assisted run, jecy, as I was lucky to do as well as I did that time. Also, when trying to do what you did in your speed run, I find it difficult to keep Batman alive for very long, as the timing must be absolutely perfect every single time and well humans just aren't really made to be perfect all of the time. Your video is still the greatest speed run that I have ever seen though and I am sure that many other people would agree with me.

You may want to look up Why and How for a good explanation of how these movies are created.

this is a tool assisted speedrun. it's merely a file that stores the player's input. this file was recorded with special emulators, allowing to unlimited undo and frame by frame playing. the divx is just the file, hence the total of the inputs, played at normal speed. so, no, there is no cheat involving, any human with perfect reflexes could do this, but here players are assisted by tools. the goal of this site is not to establish human world records, but computer assisted art. hope it clears things up. the long answer : http://tasvideos.org/WhyAndHow.html

Against the 3rd (or 4th?) boss, the dude who jumps around and swings that huge saber thing, I can't figure out how to reproduce what you did. I notice you're right next him punching and not taking any hits. I'm not sure what you do there, I always take a bunch of hits. Is this easily reproducible without tool-assist?

You can safely overlap with an enemy that is suffering as long as you keep making it suffer continuously.
