This avatar set is both a) cute and b) strangely and inexplicably fitting for my moods while posting. Hence, I use it. Edit: POST 700 GOES HERE

The first few times I saw your avatar, I thought it was an image that was altered to make it look like Link was eating a foot (or a piece of bread).

Haha. I think I actually used my camera to take a picture of the screen to get this one, so the quality is kinda lame.

I obviously took mine in Super Metroid but since i saw that it is everywhere on the net, i think i'll change it. It sucks because metroids are the coolest creatures. I think i'll just keep my Dark Metroid since it is the only one that is nowhere on the web and because i dont use the moods much. I created the dark one by adding the SM metroids teeth to it. The original is cooler (more realistic) but i wanted it to move.

My avatar started when I suggested glitching a Snorlax for the Pokemon Red run. As Primo used a picture of Gyarados in his sig, I used a picture of Snorlax. Now, it looks like the pokemon of choice will be Nidoking or Gengar, but I still like the Snorlax. It's sort of an expression of my personality - laid back and happy usually, but when I'm mad, get out of the way!

My avatar idea is from a page on progressiveboink mentioning that there is only one red snifit in all of Super Mario Bros. 2. I actually wrote a strategy guide myself back when I was probably 7 years old, which pointed out this very same fact! (apparently, I thought it was immensely important to help become good at the game, as important as my crayon-drawn maps of 3-3 and 7-2). I've had a few variations of it. If I ever used mood avatars, I'd just come up with different quotes to use, but I don't see that happening. Also, I took the place that Bisqwit made his avatar from, and made my own:
<Swordless> Go hug a tree, you vegetarian (I bet you really are one)

You assume my skills at avatar making are accurate. This is sadly, not so. That avatar may or may not reflect reality™, depending on who you ask.

Mine was from Mega Man 4… the new set is made using Portrait Illustrator Maker, and somewhat is intended to resemble me.* Though there are still a few I'm not satisfied with. [Edit: *) With some changes :)]

Kid Icarus is one of my most memorable games. My parents used to plop me off at my grandmother's house when they went on vacation, and Kid Icarus was the game I passed my time with, because no matter how long I played it, I never beat it. I was stuck in castle 3 for a full 3 years. It never occured to me to actually map it on paper though. Anyway as you can probably imagine listening to this music and running around like this: for three years leaves a lasting impression. Also, eggplant wizard? That is the best enemy ever made! He doesn't even do anything to you, except put an eggplant on your head! It isn't even magic, he just has huge eggplants. So big you need a doctor to get it off your head. He used to have an eggplant staff, and have an eggplant coming out of it, but then I changed it to a JXQ flag recently, because I love JXQ's work.

I just made avatar set for myself too ^^ My russian nick is Kvadratik, I don't know how to translate it precisely to english, it's word made from "square" by adding part that usually adds meaning of kawaii/small to the word `^^ That's where my avatar set comes from )

I originally made mine to match my movie encoding logo. Unfortunately, I haven't actually managed to encode a movie that is publishable (mostly due to silly problems with audio and vista) so Tails looks like hes standing in flying battery zone for no apparent reason. Maybe someday Vista will be fixed..
<adelikat> I am annoyed at my irc statements ending up in forums & sigs

Zefiris- My Russian teacher told me what that is called once, but I totally forgot. But it's like changing the word "dog" to "doggy" and it makes the dog a little smaller, and a little cuter. English doesn't have too many examples of this I can think of, but in Russian it can be done to nearly anything. In terms of square, the best way would be to call it a cute square. Haha.

This post reminds me of an old site, NES Nation. This is only compounded by the fact that the webmaster's name is Alex. I think this is pretty solid proof about who you actually are.

Are you referring to diminutives? I am especially curious about what the diminutive means applied to the word square.
