This is about doing the least amount of jumps in levels. Rules: You can fall off a cliff, and start hovering. You can get hit by an enemy, and do an extra boost, not counting as a jump. Well, that's all I can think of right now. :p My attempt, from 1-1 to 1-4... http://www.savefile.com/files/766844 Used ZSNES again. Yeah. This is wierd. You can try if you want to. Please point out any parts that can be improved. (Note: I'm sorry to those SNES9X users, I can't find all the features, like slowdown. I'll try finding them soon.) Another note: This is only for fun. It's not meant to be published/official. I used slot 1 to record.

This site would not accept such a run, but if it is just for fun than knock yourself out. Slowdown in snes9x is usually the "-" and "=" buttons, but frame advance, which is "\", is much better.

If a run had arbitrary rules that made the game more interesting to watch, why wouldn't it be accepted? This site is about "entertainment."

The trouble with runs that have unusual goals or aim solely for entertainment is that there often very hard to obselete, since it can be quite difficult at times to remain constantly within relatively unclear goals or could pose problems much like the River City Ransom has caused or pose an impossible obseletion like the SNES Mortal Kombat movie.

Well, how would you make it more "entertaining"? It already does pretty much everything that you can do in the game in one pass, so...

I'm sorry, you guys. Did I post in the wrong board? This wasn't meant to be an actual, official run. This was just for fun.

This is the right board, then (I think), but you should have made it clear this was just a fun run in your first post.

Well, instead of making a different topic, I'll post these here: http://www.savefile.com/files/773443 http://www.savefile.com/files/773448 http://www.savefile.com/files/773461 http://www.savefile.com/files/773462 These are all the Yoshi's Island minigames. I tried to beat them as fast as possible. I skipped the Balloon Throw 4 minigame, because it's just like the other one. Oh, and in order, Video 1 is for the second movie slot, Video 2 for the third, etc.

Well, keep in mind that if you make a run with a weird objective that tickles the fancy of people around here, send it in on April Fool's Day (April 1 in case you didn't know). Some other runs have been published, such as The speedwalk.

Found a mistake. In 1-4, I landed, and jumped again after falling through the bars. I could've just kept flutter-jumping.

Wrong. It hasn't been much about entertainment for some time, minus rare upheavals like River City Ransom. Only "the numbers indiciating our length are lower" matter here. Entertainment died. Entertainment cannot be summed up by a simple, easy-to-compare number (despite what the ratings try to show), so nobody likes using it to judge submissions. Hence why the only "good" goals are "fastest time though any route possible" or "fastest with 100%", occasonally expanded for popular games. In any case, although the goals (as little jumping as possible? ...) sound a little insane, feel free to go ahead. I'll watch this movie later tomorrow if I'm not busy... who knows, maybe it could be interesting.
