What do you think about having a tally board of some top seeders? Not an overly important suggestion, but just like another decoration on the site that people might be interested in.

there's no way to automatically determine those values, because the tracker doesn't know who does the seeding. The tracker will just see an ip, but not the username.

There must be some way to determine it. How else would torrent sites figure out your dl/ul ratio?
My published movies [03:45:05] <Naohiro19> Soulrivers: ... [03:45:19] <Soulrivers> ? [03:46:35] <Naohiro19> <Soulrivers> No! <Naohiro19> So? <Soulrivers> Yes! [03:46:48] <Naohiro19> joke

They've been programmed to do so since their creation. The TASvideos site was not. The default tracker really doesn't give two s**ts who you are, only if you're present. Oh, and there's no way to identify users except by IP address right now, so even if Bisqwit had copies of the logs (I wouldn't) it wouldn't do you much good.

They determine it typically by sticking in an ID code at the end of the torrent. This is tied into your account, so they can match your torrent usage to your ratio.

That could be an option. Like anonymous donator that don't want their name revealed.

Although there are a lot of people who do reseed frequently and maybe they deserve credit, the encoders/publishers have a lot of bias towards themselves since they get more than a full AVI credit for everything they've published. I don't seed a lot anymore, but I do publish movies, and often very big ones. :)

yeah, those selfish publishers, hogging all the encoding work just to boost their seeding stats.. I say that's cheating, and they don't deserve the least bit of credit for what they do. ;)

I used to seed a lot back when I had a really great connection. Nowadays, though, I only bother seeding new publications and things that people request in IRC.
