Isolated Warrior is a scrolling shoot-'em-up for the NES. The game spans 7 levels, each with a mini-boss and a boss. Collecting different power-ups in the levels will make your weapons better. The character has three weapons that can be used:
The GameFAQs guide wrote:
Both the straight (L) and Spread (W) have 5 levels, to get them a level higher you have to get the (L) or (W) power up, or you have to go into a secret warp hole that upgrades them totally. Your spread gun is pretty useless throughout the whole game. Although you can still use it on groups of easy enemies but its better to use the straight shooting gun. When you level up the spread-mode it will go in more directions. Level 1 - 1 Direction Level 2 - 2 Directions Level 3 - 3 Directions Level 4 - 4 Directions Level 5 - 5 Directions Your straight gun is more powerful than your spread gun, it should be used when there are enemies coming from behind and on bosses, when your weapon goes up a level, it will shoot faster and it will shoot backwards. Level 1 - 1 beam forward Level 2 - 1 beam goes faster and 1 backwards Level 3 - 2 beams forwards and 1 backwards Level 4 - 2 beams forwards and 1 backwards Level 5 - 3 beams forwards and 2 beams backwards ===== Bombs ===== You can have up to five levels with bombs and every time you get it a level higher it will go in a extra direction. Level 1 = 1 Direction Level 2 = 3 Directions Level 3 = 5 Directions Level 4 = 8 Directions Level 5 = Bombs will kill everything on the screen, after you used it, it will go back to level 4.
As said, the spread gun isn't that useful as it always fires at the same speed. I'm sure it can be useful in some spots though, but I am yet to discover where. Here is a quick test run of level 1. Note that only the beginning is TASed. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/615208087/Isolated%20Warrior%20%28U%29.fcm Any interest in this? I'd want to go for a high-score run, as the game always scrolls at the same speed no matter what you do. At first I was thinking an all-kills run would be good, but I soon realized this was impossible as there are infinate amount of enemies in some areas.

I'd love some feedback on this. Do you think a run aiming for highest score would be good?

As I said through MSN: I'm not a big fan of sidescrolling games. But I'm going to watch it if you make it. Even though I've never played it.

I think it could be interesting if you could manage to get inside bosses and shoot them with all 5 bullets at the same time.
