Okay so I'm doing an improved version of my Link's Awakening glitched run. Problem is only, when I get to the nightmare battle, I get immense lag from each energy ball the Aghanim form shoots - the previous version didn't have this problem. Previous version was recorded on 19.2, the current one on 19.3. But as you all know, a movie file is just a bunch of input, so it's not a version difference. If it was, 19.3 wouldn't be able to playback the 19.2 file as it expected lag. Bad explanation, but I think you see what I mean. Only difference in the runs is a small trick I use to reduce unneccesary movement, saving around 20 frames. That's the only difference between the runs, but I don't see how it can cause any lag. :/ Old version: http://tasvideos.org/822M.html New version: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1098813513/Zelda.vbm Thanks in advance for any help.

Okay, this gets even weirder. After finally getting ahold of 19.2 (thanks Truncated), I replayed the 19.3 movie. It lags too. To summarize: Old movie plays fine in both version. New movie lags in both version. What the hell? :(

Wait a minute. You said you played your 19.2 movie in 19.3. But did you try playing your 19.3 movie in 19.2? I don't remember if 19.3 changed the timing, but if it did, then maybe there was some backwards compatibility put into 19.3 so you can still play old movies in "19.2 mode". So if you can't get your version 19.3 movie to play in version 19.2, then that probably means there was a timing change, and if that's the case, why not do it in version 20 instead? On the other hand, if the 19.3 movie DOES work in 19.2, then maybe you should try just waiting out some of those 20 frames before the battle on the basis that saving time messed it up somehow.

The 19.3 movie lags in 19.2 too. I don't remember any timing change either, so it must have something to do with saving time somewhere else. :> Kind of sucks, doesn't it?
