Wow, 1000 movies... This site has come a long way since I joined - it had 380 movies back then. Congratulations to Kyrsimys for being the author of the 1000:th movie. Hopefully we'll reach 2000 movies someday. :D

I would like to say congratulations also, and I've loved being a part of the fun here for the last 200 or so publications. And thanks to all the contributors!

Heres to another 1000. Plenty more consoles and games in the sea.

It took 4 years to get there. By the 2000th published movie, I'm sure things will be very different, if that time ever comes.

Wow ;) I'm pretty sure that the grow rate won't increased that much unless some other console get emulated well. Most interesting game have been TASed and people are trying to beat those time. I hope to see some new game soon !

Huzzah! Granted, i have only been here for a few months, but goddamn is this place great. you have an excellent site, bisqwit, and in appreciation i have thrown together this letter head off topic: I think the way the q blends into the b makes the q look like a c... so i dont know if this letter head works. opinions? edit: After bag of magic food's subtle hint of sucking at that letterhead, i decided to try again. at least now the b comes first... Sorry for taking this topic offtopic :(

It's a q, a B, a c, a d, and a P all in one! Actually, you could probably find every letter in there if you looked hard enough, I'll bet. So what is this, a celebration of quickBASIC or something?

nah, for some reason i always abbreviate (sp) bisqwit BQ, and (having taken a graphic design course) i know how to make letter heads... so i figured i would whip one up for this occasion. granted, this only took about 3 minutes, and could have been a lot better had i taken the time to do multiple re-workings (and if i had fucking photoshop still on my computer [goddamn harddrives crapping out] >:-o)

I can't see it as a q or a c, to me it looks like a backwards thorn. Anyway, yay for the 1000th movie and hopefully we'll see many more and can together improve the quality of this site in many ways. My utmost respect goes to Bisqwit for creating such a well-structured and working site.

Can you believe I used to think the thorn was invented just so that emoticons could have a centered tongue?

The number 1000 makes the impression a new generation has begun... What will be the 1001th movie? =)

1000 doesn't automatically strike me as a big number. I thought it'd be on the ten thousands. :( But congladuration us!

So, 1001 is the big milestone? (Honestly, 666 was skipped? Come on. X_X)

Others might have been skipped too, I don't know. Hopefully Bisqwit will chime in and clarify.

"chime in"… Re: skipped numbers, I earlier explained at IRC: Ah, well who cares, it's not exact math. We've also had movies that were "published" but not published. 1000M is as good as any. The history revival project is also incomplete; it is lacking some movies, so estimatedly we're at something like 1027M if we want to be pedantic. I don't.

Congratulations to all of you. :) I have only contributed with 5 movies, but eh. :P More will come as the years pass, I hope.
My published movies [03:45:05] <Naohiro19> Soulrivers: ... [03:45:19] <Soulrivers> ? [03:46:35] <Naohiro19> <Soulrivers> No! <Naohiro19> So? <Soulrivers> Yes! [03:46:48] <Naohiro19> joke

1,000 published videos and counting....its nice to see how TASing has progressed over the years and I can only imagine what will be in store for us by the time video 2,000 rolls around. I salute all those who have the skills and patience to make these TASes as well as those who developed the rerecording emulators and the various tools used to aid in the TASing process.
I like stuff...
