Shouldn't it be "Krysimys" instead of "Kyrsimys?" "Kris mis" instead of "keer smis."

I know it's not Christmas just yet, but it's soon enough, so I decided to dig up this thread. I don't personally care that much for Christmas nowdays, but I hope everybody is able to relax and spend time with the ones they care about on their days off from work and school and such.

This is the time of year we give thanks to the best speedrunner out there, whos excessive frame-perfection and optimization means making it around the whole world in 12 hours, delivering presents along the way. Yes, you got it right. The ultimate TASer is infact Santa.

According to my calculations, Santa actually has over 24 hours to deliver his presents.

Agreed with Guybrush. I'm really positive person and there is no any particular reason for caring about christmas, i just feel good like any other days, weeks, months or everyday :) But i hope a good and calm days to you TASers, sleep well, have fun, sleep well, meet your friends and eat so much as you can :) Merry Christmas! EDIT1, This seems to be.. old thread? oh boy, well its nothing ;)

For the purposes of self-amusement, for the remainder of the month I shall refer to you as R2-D2. On topic, you are actually right. I neglected to remember that theres both -12 and +12. After realising this, I actually decided it was necessary to get a map and plot (roughly) the most likely route santa would take in order to deliver presents to everyone. Unfortunately I didn't have the patience to finish it, so I stopped at +7. If anyone wants to suggest a more efficient route based on population of areas, beliefs and general errors then please post them :) Original image: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/education/images/time1pr.gif

Except, he has no business to the North Pole because he actually lives at Korvatunturi, Finland :)

I can counter this by saying that penguins in the North Pole require presents too and have specifically asked santa for "priority air mail". They get everything first. My map is from the first delivery. Implausible, maybe, but I must not lose!

Yeah Finnish is funny alright, but anyway what the hell is that song about? Last summer here in Sweden they played it everywhere...

Merry christmas from Sweden! Today in Sweden, we celebrate christmas by exchanging christmas gifts, baking gingerbread, decorating the christmas tree, and watching a Disney christmas TV program. (These things obviously vary, but these are some of the things most families do). In some families, mine for example, we put carnations in oranges and hang them above our doors. They smell very nice, like christmas. :)

Merry Christmas from Canada! We pretty much do what the Swedes do (presents, gingerbread, tree decorating) minus the carnations in oranges thing. Seasons Greetings and hopefully Santa brings you everything you asked for (if he didn't, let me know and I'll give him shit ... he lives around here somewhere :P)

Actually he lives in Barcelona. And his name is St. Nicholas.

Merry Christmas from Sweden, the AFAIK only country with people silly enough to enjoy the same 30-40 year old Disney show with the same horrid voice over every single year.

It's worse in Russia, Cpadolf: each new year's holiday period they broadcast the certain mandatory set of movies no-one wants to watch anymore. I have no idea why; it's worse than everything Disney's studio has created over the span of its existence. At least in your country people do enjoy it.
