I voted for 0 star since it was the only run I voted for out of the 5 sub catagories, making it a no brainer for me.

While the previous S3&K would definitely be the TAS of 2006, SM100% is the TAS of 2007. Entertaining, fast, innovative and stylish.

For the same reasons I stated in the Genesis thread I vote for S3&K by the great one. Absolutely no doubt about it, although the other movies are great :)

0 stars. Super Metroid was a wonderful and innovative run, S3&K was mind-blowing, and SMB was an epic and monumental accomplishment that came out of nowhere, but the 0 star run was so sought after and hoped for that its moment of accomplishment was legendary. It may not be a blowout, but that's my pick.

As moozooh said. The 2007 S3K didn't add a whole lot over the 2006. But the Super Metroid 100% was fast and innovative. The SM64 0 star is also fast, and somewhat entertaining but the 16 star was more fun to watch, and 0 star wasn't achieved by innovation so much as by luck.

Super Metroid 100% out of these. The new input animation and the very stylish and high qualitative run make it a easy choice for me.

0 star Mario 64. It is such a milestone improvement, so that's my vote.

I feel like the options presented in this poll are not very good. But given the options, I vote the 0-star run; it is a culmination of perseverance, and the game is iconic.

imho, the poll should have included the second place entries from each system. I voted for the SM 100% run, but would have chosen Gunstar Heroes if given the choice.

looking at the second places, I agree that this would have put a lot of contenders on the list.

That's what I suggested in another thread. It didn't get too much support, for some reason.

0 star run vote here, though I agree with the suggestion for more nominees.

I find that pointless. The chance of something that placed second could win is pretty small, considering that the one who won that poll is in this too.

I must profess... 0 Star 4TW... I mean NO ONE expected it to happen.. hell a year or 2 ago no one would've thought it even possible, let alone really on the radar. The SMB1 run being taken down a notch loses out by about a quintillionth of a % for the same reason.. mind you SM64 is a lot more complex, so it's more of a surprise. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I thought it was bound to happen right from the start... I was always wondering why people were working on small improvements... Anyway, I think the way this list was composed (selecting the winner for each console) is not really the best way... I think the list could have been better. S3&K was nice, but like moozooh said:

It's nice that Mario 64 can be completed with 0 stars now, but besides that fact, it wasn't due to a really new glitch (only something used slightly different or on another location), and the rest was the same with some parts skipped. Super Mario Bros was only nice because it was an improvement to a movie which mny people thought was unimprovable. The new glitch itself wasn't particularly entertaining visually (or you must get a huge kick out of NOT seeing the flag animation), and the rest of the run was exactly the same (and besides the fact that mario is well known, I don't think the game in particular is great for TASing). I don't mean to put down klmz at all... I think he did a great job as far as you can do with this game, but for instance his journey to silius movie far better, and I would have liked it a lot better if that movie was listed here instead of this one. To be perfectly honest, I was surprised that super mario bros was even nominated for best nes TAS... the fact that it got the most votes just baffles me. I like the 100% SNES metroid a little better than the 100% GBA metroid, so my vote goes to super metroid.
