I'd like to issue a formal request to not have the board log me out when the browser window closes. Ticking the box that says, 'keep me logged in' does not do a damned thing. Thanks and kisses, -Jupi

This might be a stupid question, but have you checked if you have cookies enabled? If not, I think that might explain why you're experiencing this.

Cookies enabled, accepted from all parties in this browser. Edit: I should also add that of the four message boards I currently frequent, this is the only one I have any problems staying logged in on.

it works well for me, so it's probably a problem on your end. did you accept those cookies permanently? Some browsers have options to accept cookies for your session only. if you're using a mozilla/gecko-based browser, try this: - close your browser, start it again. - Visit the cookie manager (options -> security -> view cookies on firefox) to check for tasvideos.org cookies. delete them. - log in - visit the cookie manager again, check for cookies from tasvideos.org, check when they expire. - post your findings.

Tools > Prefrences > Advanced > Cookies, under Opera. To check the site's cookies, right click -> Site Preferences -> Cookies. You can try changing the expiration date and other things that way.

No matter what, it wants to remove phpbb2_mysql_sid when Firefox closes. All cookies accepted permanently, have tried deleting the cookies and setting them again, no change. _sid expires on browser exit, _data does not expire until 2009. Firefox is set to remember all provided data, and never remove without permission. Again, this is the only message board that gives me any trouble. Two of the other four are even PHPbb, as well.

Attempted to edit _sid by hand to match the expiration date of _data, still expires when the browser opens.

same here, that's not a problem. _data is the cookie needed for autologin.

Blargh. The first page I view when Firefox opens, I'm logged in... but as soon as I click to a topic or forum, I'm logged out. I've been screwing with this every which way, and I cannot find a way to stay logged in. -_- I wonder if there's an extension that makes Firefox never trigger the session close event for cookies. *investigates*
