So what mp3/4 player you have? I have mp4 player called "nordic mp4" whit 256mt memory, pretty much? And screen size are 128x128, but it wins my old creative muVo tx 256mt what dosent work (off/on botton are always down, so it works when it wants, usualy it dosent work at all) , but I dont use (nordic) to watch videos, I use my nokia 6670, but rarely... I only hate on my mp4 that it not use batterys, so I need computer to "download" battery full... And that it using 2.5mm, not 3,5mm, but I not realy care, becaus qualitly are much better (when playing miusic) than on my old nokia 3660 :p . Also I test'd to play videos on my nordic, and it played them pretty well, but it pain to watch it on 128x128 screen, and it lags veryveryvery litle... :\ And I just pay'd to it 10€ :P .

Chinese iMAX F202s works fine for me. it plays mp3 and asf, has AWFUL random (that chooses only ~20% of the songs) and weak battery. And t does not know what "folder" is =\ anyways I can listen to music with it, so it's okay. It also has 320x240 screen. I use 2gb sd memory card.

H320 + Rockbox. Plays every sensible sound format, including chiptunes and various types of game music + lets me play Metroid II in color. :) I need to replace a battery I "accidentally" drained by leaving the player connected to both a charger and my PC for several months in a row, though.

One of these things. Think of a primitive, clunky iPod video, but with an awkward PVR system included. Plays barely anything (mp3, wma, DivX avi [non-HD], jpg...all unprotected). Been working perfectly for two and a half years.

For music I'm still using my old and trusty Creative Zen Jukebox Xtra. Okay, it's rather big by today's standards but it works for me. Videos and stuff I handle on my eeePC. ;)

Being a music geek my ipod is my most prized possession. At the moment I'm using a 160GB iPOD Classic (Black) which supports most formats, has great battery life and has good video playback. I'm a meticulous perfectionist with it though, everything has to be a full studio album complete with the appropriate album artwork. Maintaining it is a time consuming enterprise.

Same. Ancient 30 GB model, from back when iPod didn't offer anything bigger than 20 GB. Granted, I don't actually USE it anymore, but it's the only player I own.

iRiver H10, 20 gig. And it's Rockboxed. Listening to SNES music on a standard MP3 player? Win.

Creative Muvo2 Nomad, 4GB. It's pretty much permanently attached to my car stereo, like a tiny electronic lamprey. I don't listen to the radio any more.

iPod Gen 5 video, 30 GB. I bought it right after they announced them, and although the battery life has diminished somewhat, I still use it every day. It had a much longer shelf life than most of the previous iPods, due to no major revamps in the two years between the iPod video and the touch, so I think I bought it at just the right time. I have my entire music collection on there (~22 GB), with some spare room for videos if I need it. I also just got a 2GB shuffle, which is a pretty slick little device too.

Mine is (sadly or not, depends on your POV) is the PSP Slim. I'm not rich enough to buy a console AND a portable music device. ^^;;

Depending on the size of your memstick and discernment of your ear, that's not too bad. I've used my PSP for the same task on a few occasions when I just needed something to listen to in order to retain sanity. I've been more interested in keeping it filled to the brim with games as of late, though.

I actually use mine more for internet radio than anything else. Though now that SDA's MP4 videos are now PSP compatible, it's fun to show off my speed runs on my PSP. ^^

Hmm, maybe the topic could do with 'player' in the title somewhere. As for me, I used a years-old small brandless 256mb thingy. Whenever I put music onto it, I first re-encoded it with mp3PRO. I got 4.5 hours of music onto it once. Now it's broken, so I just use my CD player. Retro, huh? I've made two CDs with game music compilations, and that's all I have to listen to currently. Perhaps a third CD is in order. :)

I have an iPod Nano I got for Christmas, which while it has gotten almost no use since then, will become a most valuable tool whenever I get something to carry my crap with on the bus. There is only so much (coughing, whining, cell phones, baby crying, swearing; choose all that apply) I can take before I go insane.

My wife gave me a 30G iPod last summer, shortly before Apple decided to start calling it the "classic." I bought her a 16G iPod Touch for her birthday in December. We are both very satisfied with our music players, although she seems to get twice the battery life I do (or she uses it half as much, I can't tell).

My N95 with a 4gb MicroSD works nicely for me. If my battery runs low (it always does), I take the MicroSD out of my N95 and put it in my Nintendo DS Lite (Supercard DS ONE) and use that instead.

All I ever had was the first Ipod they ever started selling. It broke a while ago, and I decided I never want to own another.

I also have a Garmin iQue M3, and 5.5GB worth of SD cards, which I could technically use as a media player as it runs WMP. Power consumption kinda sucks, though... it's really meant to be either a PDA or a hardwired GPS.

I still have my 32 MB Rio PMP300, IIRC the second-ever publicly-released portable mp3 player, around here somewhere. It was released in 1998. Like Twelvepack, I haven't gotten any another portable audio player since then. I decided that I have no need for it.
