Do you mean how long it takes to create? If so.. That depends on game length and how accurate you wanna be. Could take a day, a month, a year etc. Depending on how active you are as well of course.

hey i was having fun, now you made me sound like a jerk :S it takes a long time depending on the kind of game, or it may be really quick. generaly if the game has lots of routes to go, it takes longer. if it's straightforward it is faster. but it also depends on how eager the player is to make a decent quality movie. the movie is not all done with the emulator opened and recording, it takes planning and forum talk. so, even it it takes like 1 hour to make 5 minutes of re-recording, it may actually take weeks to plan everything and get it right.

Let me see if I can guesstimate... Version 1 and version 2 of my Contra Hard Corps run took about a week each. Well, version 2 specifically since I was attempting to better control the game frame-by-frame. Mega Man 7 version 1 took about a month to do. Version 2 took about two months (although it probably would have taken a lot less time if I didn't start working on it the same time classes started). I've been working on Rockman and Forte for about a month now. Classes are still happening (although next week is the last week of class for the year). Although the lengths of time to produce some of these might seem daunting, remember that I've... 1) Worked on the longer ones sparsely thanks to classes and... 2) Chosen games where sliding\dashing is faster and you have to do a lot of it
