This game looks absolutely insane, do the enemies turn into mustaches? It reminds me of the old Mario game with the pipes and the crab like enemies you stomped. I'm not sure how entertaining it would be, but the game looks crazy enough to keep me interested. Good luck!

Haha, thanks for clearing that up. I still can't get my head around the two little black protrusions that pop out the bottom of them though! If it's only going to be around 4 minutes long then i'd go for it mate, it has mad graphics and would be short enough to keep the viewer entertained in my opinion.

I've decided to start some serious work on this. The game appears to have a frame rule, I am not quite sure exactly what number it is, but in a previous attempt I secured somewhere in the range of 861 to 864 frames (Due to the time I ended the recording). This effort ends at frame 867. I chose to use the lasers instead of bombs because the location of the bricks is so bad that its slower (Using a laser has lag frames depending on how far apart the lasers are). Manipulating the enemy movements seems to be determined based on a seed when you begin the game, I'll have to look into this a lot more and hope that this isn't the case. The only improvements that I can really see would be to put the lasers closer together at the first 'wave', if at all possible (Which would also explain the frame discrepancy between the first test and the 'serious' recording). Also, all the assumptions in my previous posts about the RNG are incorrect. Its based on input. Edit: Disregard ANY comment on the frame rule, I actually managed to reach 867 frames FOUR times. I've optimized this to reach 865 frames now, and of course, walk through the enemy. Edit 2: YEEEEES! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I SHAVED OFF 20 FRAMES! THE FIRST STAGE NOW STANDS AT 845! Edit 3: Did stage 2, will be redoing the bonus round to fix a lost frame.[/url] Edit 4: Shaved off 20 frames from stage 2 through better positioning and laser placement. Edit 5: Video of the above improvement to be edited in soon. Edit 6: Said video. Edit 7: Just saved 100 frames due to luck manipulation... on the first stage alone.

Another WIP. I really need to gather the motivation to finish this, the third stage is a tad sloppy, but it'll be easy to optimize (I hope, assuming the magical number isn't too many pause frames away). Edit: For those asking, the jump at the end of the stage is to avoid falling through the hole (Due to the lack of momentum to go flying over it).

Rather than have 5(!) posts telling us to scroll down, wouldn't it be more logical to have something of value in the first post?

They were all old irrelevant posts, so uh... I kinda removed the material... Should I just get this topic deleted and remade?

I think Raiscan's telling you not to delete everything just because you think it's irrelevant. We all know that the newest information will be at the end of the topic, so let us see how your earlier thought process went if we want to.

Eh, going by memory, there was nothing of particular interest going on in the earlier posts. Mainly me guessing that the game could be completed in 4 minutes (Including loading screens... however, because of that, it'll take at least 5 minutes, along with my change to doing two rounds due to the 2nd rounds physics changes), me asking if I should TAS it to the top score (Which would... be incredibly boring for the TASer and the viewer) or just the first round and second round (Which is my current goal... since my question never got answered). It also had me mentioning that there is ZERO Left+Right glitches (It just makes you go left) as well as my theory that the RNG is frame-number based (Which is 100% correct). It had a mention of the double jump glitch (Pressing A twice within 3 frames gives you a 8 pixel jump boost, along with double breaking a break if you hit it within that non-boosted range). It also had a link to my old YT test run: Right here.

Okay. Lets delete every post on the site and have only runs completed and WIP checkpoints. My point is that just because you don't THINK something is relevant, doesn't mean that it isn't. Also, having something in the first post is useful for people like me who just want to look at the status of things. Why have the post 5 posts down if you can put it at the top and avoid scrolling?
