1. I see no reason to bother with the SNES version. Inferior graphics and sound, no Cody or Guy (depending on version), the level with Rolento was cut out, etc. FinalBurn Alpha has rerecording, so one could use that to make a perfectly kickass 2-player timeattack of the real thing.
2. Haggar's probably the best character for a timeattack due to his huge damage. With the ability to randomize enemy behavior, you shouldn't need the infinite combo.

but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice

I totally agree with Josh, Haggar (he is by far the strongest and best character compared with the other character Cody or whatever his name is) is most certain the best character to use for any speedrun or timeattack of Final Fight and it would be real nice to se either a timeattack or a speedrun of this game. Hope someone will go for this.

I dont know if this is any help to you Phil but I remember that game pretty good. *Boss Hint* For instance when you play with Haggar and are facing a boss who is going to charge/run against you, you can swing your entire arms to prevent getting hit. *Regular Enemy Hint* I havent got this confirmed but there are various effective ways to kill regular enemies with very short lifes. "Heading/Head-butting" a enemy is most probably the best way instead of beating him 3-4 times with your arms until he dies.
Good points you make, Josh, but consider this: the fact that the Industrial Zone level is cut out would make the run that much faster. True that I didn't even think about the arcade version, and yes, that would be much more entertaining. Looking forward to it.
P.S. Haggar & Cody would be an excellent team. Haggar with the Piledriver as that does massive damage & Cody with the infinite punches. Guy is just too weak to get the job done. Playing with him seems to me to be more of a challenge if you've already beat the game with Cody & Haggar.
Hmm.. Wonder how interesting this game would be to watch anyways, no matter what console or arcade version. The game is awesome to play but would most probably only be good a couple of levels. I would still watch it though.
Hmm.. With Cody you could jump/knee the enemy and start them up in that infinity punch thing. That could cut some time down as well.
At the arena with that sword guy, grab a sword. He will stand still for a while then rush towards you. Since you will be using slow downs you could easily launch a swing with the katana sword so that it lands just before he rushes towards you. Can't remember if you can hit him while he's still catching his breath. Was a long time since I played that game.
Generally I think it could be faster to grab weapons out in the streets. Not super sure though. Since there will be some time lost while picking the weapons up etc.
Just try to vary alot in your attacks. Otherwise this run will get a tid bit boring. Good luck!
I found a Japanese version of Final Fight where it has different character names and appearances from the American version. I need some good comparisons between both versions before I make plans to give this a try.
Breakdown between both versions found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fight
I've played both games, but I didn't know there were any differences... so I doubt it matters that much for the purposes of TASing.
The wiki article implies that J is better:
That notwithstanding, am I the only one thinking of adding more TASing features to FBA? A TAS of the arcade version would obviously be better than either of these versions...
Hello today I'm bringing a TAS of a game and I want you to rate this game Final Fight. Hagar's daughter is caught by villains Cody hagar's daughter's boyfriend and his best friend but he does not leave that alone and go back to rescue his daughter from the police know that this game is not very impressive but I'm trying to evaluate a project to develop 2 player of the final Fight 2 and 3 which is even nicer.
Final Fight Tas Wip
well this is my TAS takes no damage but loses life with the kick y + b with a fast time and evaluate and vejem himself is a good game.
this idea was to post the topic DarkKlod
with the name of the game and I hope that......

FODA, ask him why he picked Cody. Everyone loves Haggar infinitely more! Why can't I hear the sound effect of when Cody hits the enemies? Is it because the author is pressing so quick the hit button? I would be nice if we could see some more variety in the hitting of enemies.
You should make a 2-player run of the arcade version with mame-rr.
I see no point in TASing the SNES version now that arcade games can be TAS'd.
Just my opinion.
Thank you did not know existed equipped with the tool I get it and will take a while to do because without control to usb to two people, but thank you.
