Will it probably ever be possible to make a TAS of a game from a gaming console other than N64, GB, GBA, NES, SNES, etc.? Like the DS, Gamecube, Playstation, or Atari? Just wondering.

There is no reason for it to be impossible. But not at this time though - today's computers are way too slow to even emulate those consoles, let alone TAS them. I'm positive it will happen in the future, it's just a matter of time. Ngemu developers have been able to run Wind Waker at ~20 FPS on a quad-core computer, so it's definitely on its way. PS2 can be emulated too, however a lot of games are still working on an emulator. Only the future will tell when all this will be TAS-able.

Playstation TASing is on the way, if you believe PSXauthor. Atari TASing probably won't ever happen since I can only think of 3 Atari games with finite endings: Pitfall (100% treasure), Indiana Jones and Lost Ark (God I loved that game, even though I could never beat it.), and E.T. (The death of Atari! YAY!)

You forgot Pitfall 2.

I'm sure I forgot quite a few. Those are the only I could think of.

We don't have the technology to make such an awesome TAS yet.

Except for DS, which is working almost full speed for me in nocash.

Hopefully that will be fixed. Seeing a PS1 TAS will be awesome. There are many games with glitches and errors to explot on that system. Not to mention games with 100% rankings.

Games don't have to have endings to be TASed. We could have some score 'em ups, similar to NES Tetris. I believe that Adventure has an ending too. (Note that the term "finite ending" is a redundancy).
