Hi Bisqwit and everybody on TASVideos. I recently registered here, and I just noticed that, despite of the "To prevent abuse, only the web-site addresses of non-lurkers are shown" notice, my website is being displayed anyway, even if I'm still classified as a lurker as of now (this is my fourth post). I checked on the memberlist and apparently I'm not the only one: http://tasvideos.org/forum/memberlist.php?mode=joined&order=ASC&start=2000 Look at members 2006 and 2007: they have zero posts, yet their websites are being displayed (also revealing that they might be the same person). My mini bug report ends here. I hope I'm going to enjoy my stay here :D edit: oh, I just noticed that my fourth post raised my level from lurker to newbie. Still, my message is still valid.

Not sure if it has since been changed or if it's simply a difference in text, but if I go under my "Profile" link at the top of the forums pages, it says the following next to "Website": Note: To prevent abuse, the website address will not be displayed anywhere before you have posted a certain amount of posts. That seems to be a little clearer as "lurker" is a term that tends to change definition based on who you ask. I rarely go 2 days without checking the forums here, and I've only posted 66 times in just over 4 years, but I do have the requisite number of posts not to be considered a "lurker" here, I guess.

It also happened to me that when I was a lurker I could vote (Yes, No or Meh on the Workbench of course), even if it is compulsory to the lurkers to prevent abuse, obviously I have never abused but it turned strange to me, maybe has it something to do with the date of registration too? [OT]Glad to see another italian here :P[/OT]

Interestingly enough, I can't vote on submissions even if I'm reported to be a Newbie now, but that's fair enough, I've been here since a very few days and I can expect there is a trial period of some sort. I've seen that after 30 posts one gets Member status, maybe that's the treshold for voting.
