Hi! I'm a newly registered member on here and I need some help with the FCEUX 2.0... emulator. I know that you can convert .FCM files to .FM2 files in the actual emulator. I'm asking here if there is a way to get .FM2 back to .FCM formats, I do I need to entirely redo my video? I'm asking because of the reason that I can't get any compressing options when making an AVI in FCEU 2. But in the older version I have to right options so I can encode it the right way. I would really appreciate some help :) Thanks from Fisk

I might be possible to convert it back to .fcm using TAS movie editor, by splicing all the input from the .fm2 back to an .fcm, but I'm not sure it works.

It won't work directly, but the editor allows you to save/load snippits (can't remember what I called them .. haven't looked at it in ages). The external files you load are just text files, and they're also pipe-delimitted per controller. You could just check how those are done, format the fm2 file to match the "snippit" file, load the snippit file to the copy buffer, load an fcm and remove all the input, then paste the copy-buffer contents to the empty fcm and save. Whew. That's a mouthful, but it should work. Just remember that BOTH the TAS Editor and FCEUX don't support control codes (Reset, Restart ... etc), so if you had any of those in the file, it will be stripped ... which sucks :( Good luck
